21.01.2022 Today is a good day for the travel industry!!

17.01.2022 From where I’d rather be Snapped by my lucky client who managed to get away just before the border closures and now sandwiched between two QLD lockdowns. Word on the street is that they’re not coming home! ... Nadia Nevstad

16.01.2022 Hands up if you’d be up for this leisurely stroll

16.01.2022 My blog is now up on my recent Southern Lights Flight, would love it if you could take a read *I warned you there'd be endless bragging and constant spam about this incredible trip,

16.01.2022 Feeling cautiously optimistic about this latest update

15.01.2022 Feet tingle just looking at this but how good is the view?

15.01.2022 A great article detailing the complexities of travelling in Europe post covid. Once Australians are permitted to travel again I feel an agent will be needed more than ever to help navigate the rules and regulations imposed by each nation. It’s going to be a pretty wild ride for a while, that’s for certain!

14.01.2022 A beautifully articulated interview by a Perth travel agent about what the past 12 months has been like for us and why we absolutely need ongoing support beyond 31st of March. I really NEED to be here too see this crisis through, to be able to continue picking up all the pieces for my clients who’s trips were impacted who have yet to redeem their credits or receive all their refunds. I also WANT to be here once this nightmare is over, to pick up where I left off and do what... I do best by providing my service and expertise when it will absolutely be needed most. Without continued government support my beloved industry will not survive. It’s as simple as that. #SAVETHETRAVELINDUSTRY

12.01.2022 Hands up if you’ve been here With a trip sadly cancelled last year I’ll hopefully get another opportunity to visit this spectacular part of the world another time very soon!

11.01.2022 A highly insightful article on Singapore's roadmap on moving into the next phase of living with covid. It gives me some hope that perhaps our own government may come up with a plan sometime this decade on how we are going to move forward and learn to live with this disease. We can't stay locked up forever!

07.01.2022 Hats off to Intrepid and their initiative to get our poorer nations vaccinated. Their grass roots level approach through education and utilising their on the ground resources is to be applauded. The sooner the whole world is vaccinated the sooner we can get back to doing what we love!

06.01.2022 It would really mean the world to me if you could take a moment and sign this petition to help save the Travel Industry. International borders continue to remain closed with no end in sight until at least 2022 and our domestic borders are being closed in a moments notice which is deterring most Australians from wanting to travel outside their own state. With JobKeeper wrapping up in March and no announcement or plan in place for any ongoing government support it’s a very rea...l possibility that most of our businesses won’t survive, that’s potentially 40000 Australian job losses. I have been in the industry almost 20 years with the last 11 spent running my own business, one that is successful, that I am immensely proud of and that I was happy and confident to continue working in right up until my retirement. It’s heartbreaking to think that all of my hard work and years of experience could be over through no fault of my own. Please sign and share this petition for me and the other 40000 industry professionals needing your support right now. So that we are here for you now and when the world starts to open again and we are needed most! #SaveTheTravelIndustry

06.01.2022 I’ll never ever forget the first time I laid eyes on NYC, flying in when I was just 20 years old. I was about to embark on my first ever solo travel adventure working as a camp counsellor in Pennsylvania armed with just a Lonely Planet and a backpack. It was 1997 and I distinctly remember being blown away by the views flying over Manhattan whilst coming in to land, however, it wasn’t until I was actually in the taxi heading from JFK to my dormitory style accommodation in the... Upper West Side that I truly had my breath taken away from me. The views of the World Trade Centre’s Twin Towers from the highway heading into the city were one I’ll never forget. The towers stood magnificent and majestic and higher than any tower I’d ever laid eyes on before. Being so young and untravelled and before any kind of digital media existed I simply didn’t even know these towers existed, my mind was literally blown. A few years later I was booked to fly from the UK to the USA on September 12th 2001, just one day after the towers tragically fell. My flight was delayed while the world came to an almost complete standstill but I eventually made it into LAX about a week after the devastating attacks. It was a surreal and deeply sad time to be in America but one I’ll never forget and one I feel fortunate in a strange kind of way to have witnessed and been a part of. My heart aches every time I see those towers fall, they were the pinnacles, the beacons, the heart of one of the greatest cities in the world. NYC has never quite been the same without the Twin Towers and I’m sure anyone that saw them with their own eyes would also absolutely attest to this. My love for the USA runs deep and I truly hope to be able to visit this incredibly beautiful and diverse country sometime again very soon.
