21.01.2022 @lashesandlunges7 . @lashesandlunges7 When you list the things you’re thankful for, is your body on that list? As much as we pick our bodies apart and like to focus on our imperfections, switch your perspective on all the things you love about it. Our bodies do so much for us and are capable of such amazing things, especially if you’re a mama!! Start speaking kindly to your body and see how it responds Embrace all those bumps, lumps and wrinkles. #motivationmonday @...riley_garber @aliciagowans_wbffpro @compcoach @allysangels_fitness @allysangelsfitness @wbffentertainment @allisondillett @paul_dillett @wbfffitandfirmtraining #wbffdiva #fitnessmotivation #fitnessjourney #fitnessmodel #fitness #motivation #flexfriday #inspire #powerfulwomen #powerful #powerhouse #gymmotivation #fitnessandfashion #selflove #chickswholift #girlswholift #weightlifting #weightliftingwomen #strongnotskinny #strongwomen #inspirewomen #fitlifestyle #fitlife @stefiliff #queendom @compcoach #shinebright #fitnesscoach #lifestylefitnesscoach #confidence @realfarenation @desert.bronze.glow @cassylshannon See more

17.01.2022 @aliciagowans_wbffpro @wbffentertainment @ehplabs_ausnz . @aliciagowans_wbffpro Repeat after me...IT IS NEVER WRONG OR A BAD THING TO DESIRE MORE IN LIFE .... But yet this seems to be such a big road block for so many people today! . "I should just be happy with what I've got" "I have to wait until X happens before I can do Y" . If this sort of language sounds familiar, then you need to STOP. DOING. THIS. RIGHT. NOW! . Stop devaluing your sense of worth or discrediting yourself for anything less than you deserve. Because I can tell your right now it will get you no where in life. . Step up Own your worth Manifest your dreams Attract your goals . You weren't born into this world to play it safe or small so start saying YES and give yourself permission to go BIG. . We may only get one shot at this life but it's never too late to get inspired, step up and create a life for yourself that you're proud of . Tag someone who needs to read this today See more

15.01.2022 @aliciagowans_wbffpro @xkyrgios @wbffentertainment . @xkyrgios Literally blinked and it’s already the start of a new week again! . Those 48 hours between Friday and Monday are a brief, magical period where just about anything goes...... . Some people find joy in the lack of structure, lounging around or binge watching an entire TV series on Netflix, whereas others enjoy getting out and about, spending time with loved ones and squeezing the most out of every minute. . I know for me and Ally, we find ourselves at the latter end of the spectrum...staying active, being outdoors, experiencing nature and enjoying the sunshine are some of the things that re-energise us for the week ahead. . It is all too common to spend most of our weekdays inside and in front of a computer screen. So use the weekends to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. . I have found that my happiness is often proportional to the amount of time I spend outside . I’m also a huge believer in the mental and physical benefits of exercise and the weekend is an excellent time to bring some variety to my workouts . How do you re-energise your weekends? See more

14.01.2022 Our gorgeous client @fitoverfifty.us putting in the work and making great progress every week! When I checked in with coach @aliciagowans_wbffpro last week she adjusted my macros, and she said this is when the magic happens. Even after doing this several times, I have my doubts and wonder if my body will respond the way it’s suppose to, but I’m here to tell you that IT IS , at age 52!!! . This morning I woke up and stepped on the scale and for the first time since Sept...ember of 2020 my body fat was below 20%. Now I’m not obsessed over the scale , I use it as a tool and I can go back for three years and see what my weight and body fat was , and I LIKE TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT . My scale isn’t totally accurate and compared to the caliper test I did before my 50th it was determined that it reads about 3% higher than a more accurate test. No big deal, it’s just a marker and I use it as a baseline , kind of why we get a mammogram every year , ya know ? My stomach and waist are both down 1 1/2 and my buttocks and upper thighs are also down about an inch or so. This is after 6 weeks of being on a workout and nutrition plan from coach, and If you read yesterday’s post you know my meals aren’t too bad and I’m not starving or restricted. . Like I said I’m finishing week 6 of my challenge and it dawned on me last week that our trip to GA was moved a week earlier at one point and I never looked at the calendar to realize I’d actually finish this challenge at 7 weeks , oops! So I told coach and it’s all good because she’s programming my macros for my time away and I’ll still track and go to the gym but I’ll allow for a little wine and comfort food too. When I get back I’ll continue with coach and see what I can do! . Just an update because today is checkin day and I’m pretty excited to be seeing the magic take place ! . Have a wonderful day everyone and finish this week strong! . #fitnesschallenge #onlinecoaching #weightloss #fatloss #bodycomposition #consistency #trusttheprocess #fitover50 #fitatanyage #ageisjustanumber See more

11.01.2022 @aliciagowans_wbffpro @wbffentertainment @ehplabs_ausnz . @aliciagowans_wbffpro BODY UPDATE: This is where I’m at right now...I’m at the start of a photo shoot prep and so I though I’d share my journey with you all . Lately I’ve been working on some really exciting goals that have seen the direction of my physical appearance and my training and nutrition protocols pivot.... . Over the past few weeks I’ve had to focus on softening up and refrain from looking as full as I normally do. And whilst it’s been a mental shift, we all know I am not one to shy away from a challenge! . So what have I been doing? . Well I haven’t been training nearly as much and I’ve had to adjust food to manipulate how full my muscles appear. That obviously means putting other goals on a temporary hold but it’s all been worth it, as the new opportunity I’ve landed is taking me in a completely new direction and I’m beyond excited about it! . We all know 2020 has not seen me share my typical prep process or progress - with so many ups and downs and stops and starts. I joked with an industry peer on sat that I was on a Constant deficit-maintenance roller coaster ride this year. And I have not really pushed myself to my peak, unlike the last 7 years. . That in itself feels a little strange to be honest, but I’ve also utterly enjoyed my new found balance and my increased day to day flexibility . So whilst I won’t be chasing my stage condition (because who the fuck wants to cut out life and festive celebrations with loved ones, when you don’t have an actual stage??), I will be sharing my journey as I prep for an upcoming photo shoot. . I am going to share this with you all as I go and hope to possibly change some perceptions on how it should be done along the way. . Step count: 15k Current training: 4-5 days a week. Current food: conservative deficit. Cardio: Currently training for the Kyrgios cup which includes a little bit of ultimate frisbee, running, touch footy, soccer & bowling . Stay tuned! See more

04.01.2022 Beautiful post from our gorgeous client @thedaniarcher Most people will probably skip past this post but I need to give thanks to these special people who have guided me (and at times put up with me) throughout this journey. It’s a little bit of a read, but each and every person mentioned deserves the public recognition for what they do... Double tap to share some love 1 @demijefferys_pt who started me on this journey earlier this year & guided me right up until WBFF was cancelled. Thank you I will always we so grateful for what I learned from you 2 @tahnee.sheehan the posing queen. I loved our sessions & all your energy. I learnt so much from you & honestly I felt so comfortable in front of the camera this shoot. Bring on using the skills on a stage. Thank you! 3 @dawn.fritz & @rodneywaynebethlehem for my luscious locks & for gifting my hair styling for the photoshoot. Honestly girls go get some hair extensions from Dawn. I got them for the comp, but they’re here to stay 4 @shoot_location_tauranga thank you for gifting the use of your beautiful property for this photoshoot. It is going to be stunning when its finished! 5 @radiate.photography our 2nd shoot together & it was so good! We shot for far longer than planned & Im so thankful. You are so talented (& underrate yourself). I’ll let you get through editing these photos & then looking forward to planning our next shoot & leaving the most important until last 6 @aliciagowans_wbffpro I’ve said it before I’m so grateful our paths crossed. This lady is so giving of her time (whether she coaches you or not) & goes above & beyond. I’m continuously blown away & so grateful for your guidance during the last part of this prep & already into the next stage of my journey. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thank you! 7 @dwaynearcher I wouldn’t say the prep journey is enjoyable for a partner the time commitment, mood swings & lack of social life can definitely be challenging. Thank you for putting up with all of that, supporting me & pushing me along. You always believe in me 110% & knowing you’ve got my back keeps me going, especially when the journey gets tough

04.01.2022 @aliciagowans_wbffpro @wbffentertainment . @aliciagowans_wbffpro WHY WE NEED VITAMIN A IN OUR DIETS . Vitamin A plays an essential role in maintaining healthy eyes, vision, skin, hormones and so much more!... . Vitamin A has immune-enhancing, antioxidant properties meaning it will protect your body against oxidative stress. This is either emotional or physical stress. . And did you know that there is animal and plant-based vitamin A? . So having a balance of both is ideal in order for you to convert it optimally. . The good news is, it’s actually SO easy to get vitamin A through food. . Here’s a list of what to focus on: . Sweet potatoes Organ meats Pumpkins or Butternut Squash Carrots Apricots Eggs Kale . Out of all the incredible vitamin A rich foods, I’d suggest including sweet potatoes, daily! . The skin of a whole sweet potato contains 1400mcg of vitamin A. That’s more than 150% of your daily needs which is AMAZING. . It’s so easy to sneak steamed sweet potatoes into oatmeal, dessert recipes and even smoothies! . Let me know below how creative you’ve gotten with sweet potatoes in your diet? . . . . .
