17.01.2022 This week we will continue working on building power in the legs and feet. The most effective ways to strengthening the feet are using theraband dynamically stretching your feet, and double/single leg rises in parallel or turn out position. The later method has been implemented and recommended by physiotherapist from Australian Ballet for years and has now been widely used in professional dance companies. We have incorporated these exercises in our Body Conditioning for Non-P...rofessional Dancers program as well. Lisa Edwards from Queensland Ballet will show us quite a few feet and ankle strengthening and articulation exercises. It could be improper alignment; or as research has identified a correlation between chronic ankle sprain and weakness in the hip abductor muscles (Friel et al. 2006) ; or you are lacking of adequate strength of peroneus muscles then ankle continue to twist , thus leaving the joint unstable.
