02.01.2022 Todays #WorkforceWednesday is an ALPA Icon, Kath Boyne Kath has worked for ALPA since 2013 and was instrumental in setting up CDP in many of our sites. She is now a Community Engagement officer which involves having meaningful conversations with our community members about how ALPA can improve its culturally appropriate and quality service provision. Kath says she is grateful to work for an Aboriginal Corporation and have the opportunity to work alongside the oldest survivi...ng culture in the world. One of the key aspects of ALPA that makes Kath proud is that our Board of Directors are Yolngu community members; therefore, Yolngu are making decisions for Yolngu. All ALPA divisions work together, sharing the same vision to make a difference for the future of Yolngu communities. She is also proud that ALPA employs nutritionists, subsidises healthy food and gives back to member communities through financial support for funerals, community events, education and youth programs. When Kath is not in community, she makes the most of her down time: she enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her young grandchildren.
