16.01.2022 Where is the Green Sheep? Our little ones love this book, so this is a fun activity which is great for developing fine motor skills and concentration, while learning colours and experimenting with colour mixing. You’ll need: - Paper plates - Make up remover pads or cotton balls... - Glue - Coloured food dye, water and plastic cups - Droppers First get the children to stick the pads onto the paper plate. Then let them squeeze the different colours over the top. 14.01.2022 Pizza box computers We’ve turned our empty pizza boxes into computers. A lovely activity for the children to practice letter recognition, and language and imagination through role play. First we wrote the letters of the alphabet on one side of the box for the children matched up. ... They then typed their name on our real computer and stuck it on to the box. 06.01.2022 What a great game to play with your little ones, encouraging early maths skills, and using materials you may already have at home. We used a serving platter and placed play dough in the middle and different loose parts around it. The children then took it in turns to roll the dice and had to place the same number of items into the play dough, continuing this until the play dough was completely covered. ... Together we counted the total number of items on the play dough and then we counted the amount of each item, such as the gumnuts and icy pole sticks.
