17.01.2022 So it’s been an amazing comeback and the place has been absolutely pumping like never before!!! Our GRATITUDE for our members and community is beyond words. Unfortunately though we need to put the brakes on for short while as per state government requirements. Therefore as of the Wednesday July 8th 11:59:59pm we will temporarily close for approximately 6 weeks. ... Wednesday’s sessions will run as usual and following that we will switch back to the ONLINE LIFE with online classes, the live class library and now offering some outdoor Personal Training specials. A communication will be sent out later today. You are all so amazing and we ask you to stick it out through Round 2 with us as we will do our utmost to serve you with our best, as always, because you are worth it. 06.01.2022 #Repost @thebitingtruth BUSTING SOME FRUIT MYTHS ... First and foremost, we want to state loud and clear - FRUIT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT. In fact the truth is that most people are not eating enough fruit each day (the recommendation is 2 pieces a day). So lets have a look at some of the facts. FRUIT & SUGAR Yes, fruit does contain some sugar. However, the sugars in fruit are natural and come alongside a bunch of important nutrients, like fibre. The fibre in fruit slows down the release of the fruits natural sugar into your blood stream, preventing a sugar spike. This makes the sugar in fruit completely different to added sugars like honey or brown sugar. Yes some fruits are naturally higher in sugars than others, but overall this is not something you need to worry about. All fruit is healthy when eating whole. FRUIT JUICE Ideally, we recommend you eat whole fruit instead of drinking it. This is because juicing fruit typically removes most of the fibre. Of course fruit juice every now and then is fine. Also, if you squeeze your own orange juice at home and enjoy this, then yes it does count towards your 2 serves of fruit a day. For anyone who feels they should fear eating fruit please be assured that it is a FANTASTIC food to include in your diet every day. We still cant believe it (and get quite ) when we hear or read anything negative about fruit. BOTTOM LINE: When most of us arent evening eating 1-2 pieces of fruit each day, lets stop worrying that about eating too much fruit and start actually eating enough! Fruit is great (end of story).
