25.01.2022 Alpine Beckham 4 E7E Known around our place as "Butterbox", this Palgrove Beckham/Alpine Supermodel son is as square as a butter box and as soft as butter! Used predominantly over Brahman cows as well as first calf heifers (calving ease plus!), Butterbox well and truly leaves his mark on his progeny. Most significantly, he has stamped our commercial herd with easy doing, maternal females with a tonne of milk.... At rising 9 year old, we think so highly of Butterbox we have been using him in the stud, and have had semen collected.

25.01.2022 Alpine Supermodel C2E {the original} Supermodel is one of our foundation females and lead donors. She is still going strong at 10 years of age, and is pictured here recently, a month before calving.... She has bred us donor cows and semen sires and has had great success in the show ring, including at Royal shows. Supermodel has been a huge influence on the type of cattle we breed - quiet, easy doing cattle with plenty of thickness.

13.01.2022 Alpine Supemodel 15 (AI) (P) J04 Q10E (Aka: Lolly) A super quiet daughter of the original Alpine Supermodel J04 C2E, and by Palgrove Hallmark, Lolly is an absolute sweetheart!... Pictured here at weaning, we are very impressed by her growth and softness. Just like her mother, she has that eye appeal that really makes you stop and admire her. As always, daughters of Supermodel never miss out on milk - SM has been milking the house down at rising 13 years old! Supermodel and Lolly are so special we couldn’t let them go away on agistment. Instead, they reside close to the house where Lolly can be found waiting for a bit of a treat (thus the nickname Lolly). We are so excited about the potential she holds. Watch out for Lolly in the future!

06.01.2022 Alpine Supermodel 3 - J04 E11E (P) The start of the Model line of females, E11 is one of our favourite donor cows! Out of the original Alpine Supermodel C2E by Palgrove Beckham, she stamps her progeny with length, softness, correctness, bombproof temperament and beautiful udders.... Pictured at 11 years old and just like her mother, still as youthful as ever. She is our go-to cow to flush to any sire!

03.01.2022 AI Sire Palgrove Monarch PKM628E was a highlight sire in our recent AI program. We also currently have calves by Monarch in our spring 2019 drop and are excited by their potential.... We originally saw Monarch in the 2018 Palgrove Bull Sale catalogue/pre sale video (see attached) and could not look past his sire appeal, softness, grunt, perfect feet and freedom of movement. Monarch boasts an impressive phenotype which is closely aligned with his top figures and raw data. Monarch was purchased by the Farrell family of Calmview Charolais. Thankfully they allowed us access to semen in this outstanding sire. https://youtu.be/LanScWlUhy8

02.01.2022 We are excited to offer this outstanding package!

01.01.2022 2019 was a year with many highs and lows. Like many others, we battled with the ongoing dry conditions in what was our third straight year of feeding. We were lucky enough to get away to New Zealand to see some green grass and the Silverstream Charolais & Hemingford Sheep & Cattle Genetics bull sales. The hospitality and cattle were something we will certainly never forget! Alpine Charolais made its first appearance at both the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days and Nyngan Ag Expo,... with stud bulls on display. These events were a great success given the trying season. In October we were extremely lucky to have finally found agistment for our stud cows, after a long time searching. We will be forever grateful, Brooke French. With the cows finally getting a chance on grass we were able to recently complete our usual AI program for a spring calving. In this program we used some exciting new sires (keep an eye out for future posts). Alongside the stud, our family commercial cattle enterprise have reduced numbers and completely de-stocked most of our country due to the devastating dry. Ourselves, along with relatives and friends have hit the road in the south with the last of our commercial breeding herd. The cows are thriving given the chance of feed in front of them! Right on New Year’s Eve in the smoke from the nearby fires in the south we were blessed with one last bonus of 2019. A beautiful bull calf sired by Alpine Beckham 4 J04E7E! Thank you for your support in 2019! Let’s hope 2020 brings relief from above. Justin & Jane
