21.01.2022 HAPPY WORLD BICYCLE DAY Riding a bike can be a profession, a form of entertainment, a tool to freedom, an outlet of expression or quite simply the best way of getting from A to B. Bikes are free to ride, brilliant for your physical and mental health, good for the environment and the economy, and are a stress-free way to get where you’re going.... Have a great ride today! #WorldBicycleDay #JustRide #ACC

21.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Due to the Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions and the interests of the safety of the ACC members, the use of the ACC club tools/ PPE should immediately cease until further notice. If trail maintenance needs to be performed by ACC members it should be done in a COVID-19 safe way and with your own personal tools / PPE and no sharing of tools can take place.... With the change to stage 3 restrictions for our community the club wishes to remind its members that: You can only exercise or undertake sporting activities outside with one other person or your household members. You must be able to keep at least 1.5 metres distance between yourself and others. You should exercise and use recreational facilities at the closest available location to your home. If you are doing exercise or a physical activity where you are out of breath or puffing, such as cycling or running, you do not need to wear a face covering. You must carry a face covering with you and wear it before and after you exercise. You should not travel further than you need to. Victorians must use common sense and consideration when it comes to their activities and stay close to home when they can. Club members may continue to do trail maintenance as this falls under volunteer work guidelines. Members must wear a face covering when they leave home, unless an exception applies. Even with a face covering, members must maintain a physical distance of at least 1.5 metres between themselves and others at all times, and ensure good hygiene practices such as regularly washing hands with soap for at least 20 seconds and coughing and sneezing into a tissue or elbow.

19.01.2022 EDIT // I overlooked recognising Jean-Pierre Ronco for the awesome pics This weekend was booked in for the 3rd Mountain Planning Inverted Enduro at Mystic Park, Bright hosted by the Alpine Cycling Club. But... obvious reasons prevail and the event is postponed to later in the year, date to be confirmed. Given the weather forecast, probably a good thing! Remember, this event is all about fun and friendly competition with your mates. So keep riding over winter to be ready to r...ide to the top of Mystic and enjoy a barbie together after the event. Some pics from last year to get you geared up for the next one....can’t wait!

06.01.2022 !! TRAIL UPDATE !! DELWP are currently working around the wet weather to complete maintenance of "The Switchbacks" and "Huggins Downhill" trails. The trails have soft sections where work has been done, so to prevent them from being chopped-up during the predicted wet weather this weekend, both trails will remain closed until the surfaces dry-up and are firm enough for riding. Observing the closures would be appreciated by our hard-working and committed contract staff as well as the whole MTB community. To keep track of what trails are closed and where hazards may lie login to Trailforks.

03.01.2022 JUMPS PARK // Won’t be long until we’re all riding the amazing new Jumps Park in Pioneer Park - but please remember that the site is still under construction and should absolutely not be ridden on! Riding on the unfinished surface will damage the work that’s been done, which takes time and money to repair and will delay the project for everyone. We’ve had reports of people riding all over the jumps today - ignoring the obvious fencing, bunting and signs which clearly mean it...’s closed. When the park is finished and open for riding, it will be very obvious! Until then, please go and ride some of the other 70km of trail in the area!

01.01.2022 Junior MTB Club is on! With covid restrictions easing, Junior MTB Club has the green light to start the first week of term 4 (October 6th).
