17.01.2022 COUNCIL SWORN IN | Our Alpine Shire councillors were sworn in yesterday. They have hit the ground running with induction sessions and meetings to bring them up to speed with their role on Council. 17.01.2022 REMINDER - PEBBLE BEACH FOOTPATH TEMPORARY CLOSURE | Sections of the Pebble Beach footpath and extension are currently closed to allow for pavement sealing. The new path extension is being sealed. The track is closed inclusive of the end loop to allow safe vehicle movements while work is carried out to the extension. It is anticipated the path will reopen late next week.... We appreciate your patience while we complete this project! Please check back to our Facebook page for reopening dates.

10.01.2022 **UPDATE | Owner found, thank you for your interest!** DO YOU KNOW ME? | This playful pup was found in Myrtleford. He was found yesterday, Tuesday, 10 November, and has no microchip or collar - if you’re his owner, please contact Council on 5755 0555.... Registering and microchipping your pets is important, as it makes it much easier to reunite any lost animals with their owners. 07.01.2022 NEW BARBECUE SHELTER | The barbecue shelter at Porepunkah’s Riverside Park is set to be replaced next month, just in time for summer! Site fencing is currently in place, and the existing structure will be demolished over the coming week. We anticipate the new shelter to be installed the first week of December. The project will include a new barbecue, water fountain, access path and concrete works. ... The surrounding landscaping will be re-established to create a fantastic spot to enjoy the warm weather with friends and family.



07.01.2022 FREE GREEN WASTE DISPOSAL | Alpine Shire residents can dispose of their garden waste for no cost at upcoming free green waste disposal days. Following on from the successful days held in 2018 and 2019, Myrtleford, Porepunkah and Mount Beauty transfer stations will be accepting green waste for free on the last weekend of November. The Dinner Plain Depot will be accepting green waste for free on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 November 2020.... High volumes of traffic is anticipated on these days although traffic management will be in place, we expect queues and some delays. We thank everyone in advance for their patience. Maximum two cubic metres per customer. The green waste must be clean, with no wire or netting or any contaminants, with a maximum branch diameter of 200mm. No stumps.
