01.01.2022 The Families as First Teachers Program (FaFT) is so crucial because parents and families are children’s first and most important teachers. Yesterday, 85 educat...ors from across the Territory took part in the 2017 FaFT Conference. It was a wonderful day, a great chance to share ideas and experiences - and most of all, a lot of fun!!! Being ready for day one of school is essential for kids’ later success. It shapes a child’s ability to thrive at school, stay healthy and be socially connected. The Territory Labor Government is expanding this program and have already opened five new sites in 2017, taking the total number to 32. However, there’s still plenty to do and we plan to have 38 FaFT programs operating in remote and urban sites by December 2017.
