25.01.2022 Well Guys the crowds of people have gone the sign has been turned off for the last time it is silent i am so tired im numb now to pack it all up a huge thank you to all the people that came through my doors over the last 5 years i thank you. I have meet some awesome people that will be friends forever i hope i have helped you out and made a difference in your time on and off the water, Hallam Bait and Tackle may be gone but i hope you will all follow me to my next port of call where i can start my new role as from next Wednesday at Warneet Boat Ramp as... Als Bait & Tackle i am exited to meet all the new customers and also to see my regulars as well. I would like to say i have been overwhelmed at the support and well wishes over the last week... 05.01.2022 WESTERNPORT FISHERMEN PLEASE READ AND SHARE THIS POST On the 24th of November 2015 less than a month after i took over the Boat Ramp and Shop at Warneet, Talkin...g Fishing put up on the show about how the shop at the Warneet boat ramp was crap and the wait times were long and launching was $15 a drop and that the shop took all the money and did not put back into the facilities QUOTE David Cramer.........What a load of rubbish. Lets start buy saying i am here to run the ramp and take the fees for Lanching & Retrieving on behalf of the foreshore committee that is appointed by the government department DELWP that i get a portion for the 100 hours plus that i have to be here during the week 6 to 6 Mon to Thur and 4am to 8pm Fri-Sun.....Do you work for free David ? Next point is the ramp fee here is $10 NOT $15 as Quoted We also have 3 working ramps and the waiting time has been no more than 8 minutes on any day since i took over including the busy days and i have timed it. (Unlees you dont check your tides and want to launch when there is no water.....Its a tidal ramp and allways has been} As for the shop taking everything and not putting any thing back in, Well where should i start, since taking over 8 weeks ago i have dropped all the bait prices, Maintained the car park, Collected and disposed all the rubbish & fish carcasses that has been left by fishermen and others, i have dug out the mud and cleaned the old ramp from top to bottom and cleaned and maintained the other ramps not only that on the king tide i went into the mud and dug out a channel for the boats to launch & retrieve in the low tide thats something i dont have to do but just did it. I have also purchased and installed a new 8 camera digital surveillance system to cover the whole car park 24/7 for pece of mind of my customers to know that their cars and trailers are safe. This cost me $5000 OUT OF MY POCKET and i will be putting online soon. I have also purchased a top of the line advantage Pro2 Weather station that i have and will be installing and putting online for all to access that cost me $1400 plus a cherry picker to put it all up. So David i take offence to the statements on your show that are false and i would like you to set the record strait regardless if it was a person sending into your mailbox, On your show it is your duty to get the facts right. This issue was bought to my attention today by a customer, Going by your information has not been coming to the ramp because of the wait times and he was under the impression the fees had gone up...And i wonder how many others are under the same impression because of your false statements. David i would like you on your next show to apologise and set the record strait and give the facts so we can have people retuning to Warneet.
