25.01.2022 Campdraft Lady Legend So this story has only gotten better since I decided to tell it. This lady finally won an encouragement draft last season I believe and has since then taken her faithful steed Boston that she has had for many years on to win many placings in many events, then to WIN THE OPEN this weekend in South Australia!!! 23.01.2022 CAMPDRAFT LADY LEGEND I have saved the best until last! ...So dad and I are on our way to Tamworth, so this may very well be my last post for you all. (Hopefully not) and as we leave for our 13 hour drive together I feel this story relates in an extra speacial way. It embodies everything I love about campdrafting, not only do I love the sport but I love the way it brings communities and families together in a unique way.... The story goes in her words: I got into campdrafting when I was 8. Our property is next to the Maldon grounds. Our house burnt down and the campdraft club was kind enough to give mum and dad some money to get by. After that we turned from pony club to campdrafting and 19 years later haven’t looked back. That’s the campdrafters I know, so incredibly supportive and giving. This is everything the Classic Ladies Foundation embodies which is why I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of it. She also told me: I wasn’t a super competitive junior or juvenile rider so my greatest achievement would have to be winning the sca champion encouragement rider in 2011 I also won the southwest zone presidents award in 2009 for my sportmanship and contribution to the zone. Since then I’ve won ladies, novice and open drafts with my trusty steeds Rocky and Mate Amazing story Sarah Long Thankyou so much for letting me share with everyone!! ... also I think that kid photo is a winner

17.01.2022 What an incredible experience! I can’t begin to explain how much fun I’ve had and how many incredible people I have met along the way! I feel so blessed to be able to announce I was successful in receiving the title of 2019’s (& the very first) Classic Ladies Foundation’s Young Ambassador. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK...... Christine Jones the founder of the quest, for all her hard work to make this happen! The CLF ladies for hosting this opportunity! Landmark Equine for supporting the Quest David Murphy for letting me fly the flag on his unreal young stallion Mobile Pricetag. All the sponsors for my AMAZING prizes! Everyone who came to the dinner I held, listened to me speak, and bought raffle tickets. The other finalists for making the experience one to remember The 3 independent judges for giving up a full day at the Classic & being instrumental in awarding me this position. And last but most certainly not least my Dad, Fitzy for always being my main supporter. The Classic Ladies Foundation successfully raised over $70,000 for Kiss Goodbye to MS and the Foundation for Breast Cancer Care, bringing us closer to a cure for Multiple Sclerosis and a better result for marginalized women with Breast Cancer! 15.01.2022 So over the weekend what I thought was tough luck not being at Landmark yet to help the CLF actually turned out to be great luck! Being a part of the presentation ceremony was awesome because I know too right how hard it is to win a draft so the more special we can make the moment for those that pull it together that weekend the better!! Also I was given the opportunity to tell everyone what the event is about and what I’ve learnt about the charities in this time,... which lead to the sales of a heap of raffle tickets! So thank you so much Dumbulk draft for giving me that time, can’t wait to get to Tamworth!

14.01.2022 The first of this years chosen 2 charities is Kiss Goodbye to MS. QUICK FACTS 1. MS stands for Multiple Sclerosis 2. It’s is a currently labeled a Chronic Condition meaning it is long lasting and there is no cure. ... 3. You can not die from MS 4. It is disease which attaches the central nervous system which can sporadically make it hard to walk, talk, think, see ect. So you can understand why a charity that is looking to fund research to cure such a disease would be chosen by the CLF as beneficiaries for this years fund raising! Can’t wait to see what we can do for them

05.01.2022 Campdraft Lady Legend This super champion from way back has sent me a gorgeous pic of her days at pony club! But she wasn’t there for too long once she found campdrafting! She won SCA Junior 3 YEARS IN A ROW! Followed by winning the Maiden at Rich River and placing in many Ladies, Open and Novice events. Pretty amazing achievements for such a young campdrafter! Yewww go Lexie

03.01.2022 The 2nd of this years 2 beneficiaries is... The Foundation for Breast Cancer Care QUICK FACTS ... 1. One in eight women will develop breast cancer at some point in their life. 2. On average 7 Australian women die from breast cancer every day. 3. Improvements in survival are attributed to early detection through regular checkups. 4. FFBC is looking to improve data collection systems to ensure effective treatment is being offered to patients regardless of geographical location. 5. FFBC also hopes to use this data to ensure there are no geographical, cultural or socioeconomic blocks to screening for early breast cancer detection. Also another amazing charity! You can understand why the CLF have chosen them to be this years beneficiary. Living in rural Australia as many campdrafters know all too well can be an access block to quality health care. This should not result in a lower Breast Cancer survival rate! Can’t wait to see how we can help them!
