25.01.2022 Hi my name is Luke and I am the newest Osteopath at both the Goonellabah and Alstonville clinics. I recently moved here and settled into Meerschaum Vale, met some wonderful people, it’s a really nice sense of community. I’ve been an osteopath for 10 years originally in athletes but very interested in a holistic form of treatment and helping people particularly with longer term pain problems so if that’s you, come and say hi.

25.01.2022 We are so thrilled to be WELCOMING LUKE WALLACE to the Alstonville Osteo team I’ve been bursting to announce this great news since August and we can finally share with you that Luke Wallace is joining both our Alstonville and Goonellabah clinics from tomorrow and we couldn’t be happier. Luke has been an osteopath since 2010 and comes with great knowledge and interest in both cranial and biodynamic osteopathy as well as kinesiology. He fits in so well with our team,... a kind hearted, genuine caring person and I know you’ll love him. Luke is a holistic practitioner with a wide variety of experience in Sport Science, Osteopathy & Kinesiology. He completed his degree in Clinical Sciences Osteopathy (2008), Masters of Osteopathy (2010) & Diploma of Kinesiology (2011). During his first years of Osteopathy, he travelled and worked as an Osteopath across Africa & Europe. Settling in Germany to work with a terminally ill client full time as part of a home care program. Luke has also worked in multidisciplinary practices in both Melbourne & Perth. Luke uses his intuitive nature along with learnt Osteopathic & Kinesiology practices as part of an integrative approach to treatment. He has also continued learning in both Craniosacral and Biodynamic Osteopathy. Luke has also been involved in Men's Health programs and initiatives for the past 5 years in Victoria. Luke is available Monday and Wednesday in #Goonellabah and Friday and Saturday in #Alstonville.

25.01.2022 The look of feeling refreshed Grant snuck us into the hills for an amazing glamping experience this weekend and it was perfect! Anyone that knows us knows I’ve been trying to get Grant to love camping so I was super excited to get out into nature with him, even in a beautifully decked out tent He completely surprised me and even preordered Chef and Shuka for dinner and snuck it in the car so I had no idea. 21.01.2022 KNEE PAIN Knee pain can be debilitating and have a huge impact on your quality of life if left untreated. Osteopaths have a wide range of techniques to treat conditions that relate to knee pain and can help you get back to doing the things you love Our osteopaths are able to treat musculoskeletal conditions of the knee from the acute to the chronic stage of a condition or injury. ... These techniques consist of: - Joint Articulation, consists of a gentle repetitive movement of the joint to allow for further movement that may have been lost due to injury or altered walking patterns. - Muscle Energy Technique and Myofascial Release, allows for tight muscles that attach around the knee joint to stretch and lengthen, reducing tension. - Counter Strain Techniques, holding the joint in the least painful position and allowing the surrounding soft tissues to decrease in tension and pain level. - Soft Tissue Trigger Point and Massage, allows for increased blood flow, removal of toxins stored in the affected muscles and increases stretch/ flexibility. - High Velocity Low Amplitude (HVLA) also know as joint manipulations or adjustments, this technique allows for increased range of motion of a restricted joint within the knee region. - Finally, Lymphatic Pump techniques that allow for any trapped fluid in around the affected area to drain. In fact all these techniques can be used by your practitioner on any joint or region of the body that may be causing pain or discomfort.
