25.01.2022 We are sorry to advise that Kathy Robinson passed away. Her ashes, memory, and legacy will stay with the farm. Kathy Robinson 1933 - 2020 Passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on November 11th.... Owner of Alstonville Poultry Farm & Tuckombil Simmental Stud Kathy started growing free range chickens over 40 years ago when the industry was moving to large scale sheds with her own Processing Facility on the farm. She delivered Free Range dressed birds to local butchers and restaurants for many years before handing the business over. Kathy also delivered fresh Free Range eggs and sold point of lay pullets from the farm. In addition to growing and delivering poultry, Kathy started a Simmental Cattle Stud and was a regular at the Northern Rivers Showgrounds, leading her animals until stepping back to mentor others to continue in her footsteps. Kathy will be greatly missed by everyone who has visited, stayed, and volunteered at the farm. Her sons will continue selling poultry on the family farm until decisions can be made.
