19.01.2022 Introducing Philip Eames who is our Musical Director for both Ordinary Days and [title of show] Philip is a Sydney-based pianist, composer and musicologist, having completed a PhD on the choral polyphony of Percy Grainger at the Sydney Conservatorium, where he is a sessional musicology lecturer. He holds two Master of Music degrees with a scholarship from the Royal Northern College of Music and the Queensland Conservatorium where he was presented with the prize for the highe...st achieving postgraduate piano student, also having been awarded the Bachelor of Music in Advanced Performance with First Class Honours. Musical theatre tends to happen at Philip, and he has been involved in the field for over a decade, primarily as a musical director and repetiteur. His experience has seen him at the helm of a wide range of musical productions, including Into the Woods, West Side Story, Les Misrables, Keating!, Little Women and most recently Avenue Q.

18.01.2022 Introducing Lauren Anne Paul who will be playing Heidi in [title of show] Lauren Anne Paul has been performing for over eighteen years. She recently spent two of those years in the United States, training in the New York Film Academys Musical Theatre Conservatory program. Whilst training, she was part of her schools productions of Urinetown, as Hope Cladwell, and Cabaret, as well as readings for new musicals; Leslie in Joni, and Anne Shirley in Anne Of Green Gables. Prior ...to moving to the States, Lauren attained a Diploma of Musical Theatre from Brent Street including multiple productions; Serena Katz in Fame, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and Dorothy in The Wiz. Last year, Lauren performed the role of Sue Snell in Carrie (Louis Ellis Productions), and opened her own singing school: Northern Beaches Vocal Studio. See more

17.01.2022 Introducing Jon Emmett our Director for Ordinary Days, Originally from Adelaide, Jon moved to Sydney in 2011 to pursue his legal career. Hes since performed in various roles around Sydney, including Glenn in The Wedding Singer, Benny in RENT, and Marty in the Australian Premiere of It Shoulda Been You (CMS). He has completed courses with the Actors Centre Australia, including Power of Performance and Performing American Theatre, and trains vocally with Naomi Cray. Jon made his directorial debut with Pee Buddies in Short+Sweet, winning the Wild Card competition, and he was nominated for Best Newcomer. In 2018, Jon had the pleasure of directing NSTCs Little Women, and most recently was Assistant Director for Sweet Charity (WTC). Jon recently co-wrote and performed LCTCs 2019 cabaret Man Date (the Musical?).

13.01.2022 Introducing Michael Douglas McPhee who will be playing Hunter in [title of show] Michael McPhee is an actor/singer/songwriter who would describe exactly how excited he is to be a part of this production of [title of show], but its hard to write incoherent squealing, so he shall refrain. He began his formal training at Brent Street Studios in 2014, obtaining a Diploma of Music Theatre, and then continued on to his BA Music Theatre with Federation University graduating in 2017. Since then he has been #blessed with his continuing involvement in the independent theatre, by performing in the productions Merrily We Roll Along (Little Triangle), Funny Girl and If/Then (Theatre and Company) and Company (Limelight on Oxford). He also performed, composed and wrote his own Cabaret in 2018 called Fears, Phobias and Fun.

09.01.2022 Introducing Sam Ducker who is our Director for [title of show] Sam first found his love of theatre from seeing Joseph in New Zealand in 1997. Since then he has been on stage, off stage, and most things in-between. Recently having directed the Australian Premieres of Be More Chill and 21 Chump St (MMS), while his performing highlights include Robert in Company (MMS), Cousin Kevin in Tommy (Mosman MS) and Masterclasses with Adam Guettel, Jason Robert Brown, Gillyanne Kayes and Jeremy Fisher. Sam has also been sound operator for Carrie (Louis Ellis) and Stalker: The Musical (RPG Productions)

08.01.2022 Introducing our Costume and Props designer Elle Cantor Elle is a Costume Designer based in Sydney. Her love of costume began with her first part time job in a costume hire shop at age 14. Since then, Elle has designed costumes for 15 productions, including Little Shop of Horrors, A Chorus Line, Wicked, Be More Chill (Australian Premiere and Return season), Les Miserables, Stalker: The Musical, and most recently Switch Witchettys Almanac of Everything, which just concluded a successful run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She is thrilled to be involved with Ordinary Days / Title of Show, and all the exceptionally talented people who bring them to the stage.

07.01.2022 Introducing Josh Matthew Reckless who will be playing Warren in Ordinary Days Born and raised in North Western Sydney, Joshua is a recent graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts: Music Theatre. During his studies, Josh played roles such as Usnavi in In The Heights (dir. Crispin Taylor), Dennis in Sunday in the Park with George (dir. Tyran Parke), Captain Watson & Ensemble in Carousel (dir. Jason Langley), Bandl...eader and Andrew Jackson understudy in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (dir. Shaun Rennie), and Ralph in Lord of the Flies (dir. Crispin Taylor). Joshuas professional credits include General Tom Thumb in Barnum (Storeyboard Entertainment, dir. Tyran Parke), and Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (West Australian Opera, dir. Stuart Maunder). Josh is very excited to be a part of this production of Ordinary Days. 04.01.2022 Introducing Heather Campbell who will be playing Susan in [title of show] Heather is a self-confessed stalker of cast albums, so she is utterly thrilled to be a part of A New York Double-Bill which brings together two shows she loves Ordinary Days and [title of show] but has never actually seen (outside of her imagination). She is a Sydney-based actor, with experience across a diverse range of theatre, musicals, concerts, short films and corporate videos. Her most rec...ent credits include Amy in Company (Limelight on Oxford) and Miss Gardner in Carrie (Louis Ellis Productions). Heather is also a director, arts educator, writer and producer, creating and performing in original works for Short+Sweet, Sydney Fringe and Under the Wharf. She has studied at NIDA and was part of the Young Artists Program at the Australian Theatre for Young People (atyp). See more

04.01.2022 Introducing Lincoln Elliott who will be playing Jason in Ordinary Days, Lincoln is a 2017 NIDA Musical Theatre graduate and multi-instrumentalist. Performance credits include 3 Weeks in Spring (State Theatre, Endymion), Ned (Plush Duck), Company (Limelight on Oxford), Funny Girl (Theatre & Company), The Chairs (Matt Taylor, SFF), Carrie: The Musical (Louis Ellis), Inner West Side: The Musical (UltraCult, SFF), Chimerica (STC), The Changeling (NIDA), The After Party (Fundraising Cabaret), and workshops for Alices Adventures in Wonderland (Andrew Freeborn) and Bakery Hill: An Australian Rebellion (Yellow Line Theatre).

04.01.2022 Introducing Laura Dawson who will be playing Deb in Ordinary Days, Laura has been a performer since she was a child, racking up over 30 productions in that time - be it musicals, cabarets, plays or variety shows. A graduate of the School of Music at ANU, since Laura moved to Sydney performing highlights have included Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Glinda in Wicked, Mimi Marquez in Rent, and Rizzo in Grease. Over the past three years, Laura originated and has been performing with childrens group The Beanies, releasing three albums and receiving a 2019 ARIA nomination for best Childrens Album, writing a childrens musical and winning Australian Podcast of the Year for their podcast which encourages creative and lateral thinking in little ones.

02.01.2022 Introducing Isaac Downey who will be playing Jeff in [title of show] Isaac first started on the stage in 2010 in Reefer Madness (Studio 4 UNSW). He was then on hiatus for a while, until he returned to theatre as the Production Manager/ AD on the The Laramie Project (Blackout Theatre Company). He made a move into the AD role for Grouch Productions web series Pinhead and even made a cameo in a later episode. In 2017 he directed for the Short & Sweet Festival at The Depot - n...ow FlightPath - Theatre in Marrickville, then moved on to be the Production Manager for Sweeney Todd (Manly Musical Society), finishing out the year onstage in Holding The Man (Lane Cove Theatre Company). Other acting credits include Laurie in Little Women and Rod in Avenue Q, (both with North Shore Theatre Company). Isaac has also directed two productions this year with Lane Cove Theatre Company: bare: a pop opera and Managing Carmen. See more
