22.01.2022 |SILENT AUCTION| In Conversation 2 by award winning artist Sarah Thornton-Smith artist.designer is a diptych of constructions ("Tete-e-Tete 1" and "Tete-e-Tete 2") exploring colour harmonies. Composed of acrylic rendered timber, it gave her permission to explore the beauty of imperfections in the process of assemblage and allowing nature to take its course. Sarah's use of gradations allow a simple visual play of movement giving way to shadows and colours intermingling and conversing with one another. Dimensions of each are 28.5cm by 29cm and to be installed either side by side or top and bottom. Materials used is acrylic on timber. The Royal Flying Doctor Service is committed to the health and safety of everyone who lives, works and travels throughout Western Australia. Now more than ever, the health and safety of our people and our communities have been at the forefront of our work as we serve on the frontline of our States COVID-19 response.... This has been our focus in recent months and will continue to be our priority as we navigate this new business as usual with COVID-19 protocols part of our foreseeable future. As you will appreciate, to continue flattening the curve and ensuring Western Australias vigilance, we must abide by Government restrictions on gatherings and events and our Jandakot hangar must remain response ready as an operational aeromedical base. The work of the Flying Doctor continues throughout this pandemic and beyond and while we are unable to welcome you to Altitude at the Hangar 2020 we hope you will continue your advocacy and support for the lifesaving service we provide every day to Western Australias regional and remote communities.
