25.01.2022 A stock in the spotlight: Wesfarmers

25.01.2022 The ASX (All Ords) closed at 5761.3 at the end of May 2017. The same time last year - it closed at 5395.20. The Official Cash Rate (OCR) remains at the historical low of 1.5%. Watch out for future monthly updates and snapshots on the direct equities which feature in our portfolios.

23.01.2022 RBA Update: The Reserve Bank has kept its cash rate on hold at a record low of 1.5 per cent for the eleventh consecutive month. RBA comments provide little indication of when it will allow rates to rise.

22.01.2022 Weve started a Facebook page specifically for our branch of Altitude Wealth Solutions that has a local focus and (we hope) will allow our clients to be more engaged with our Financial Planners and administration staff.

18.01.2022 Interesting case. Superannuation advice in relation to estate planning is crucial.

16.01.2022 The kids love their new shirts!

15.01.2022 If you're like us, you may be wondering "what is Bitcoin"? (By the way, we're waiting for the publisher to respond to as well as correct what we believe is a glaring inaccuracy: Bitcoin is certainly legal in this country, but it is NOT legal tender)

11.01.2022 I saw this article and as an office of dog lovers, I thought I'd share it. An important consideration when the 'how much will I need?' question arises! Matt http://www.moneymanagement.com.au//extra-345k-needed-super

08.01.2022 So, we recently decided we wanted to put more effort into Facebook. The idea was to have more emphasis on our team, our values and our dedication to our customers and less "dry", technical or economic content. We want to focus on who we are and what we do to benefit our clients. How ironic then, that one of our first posts is an article from the Fixed Interest desk at BT Financial Group! Its quite lengthy (11 pages). Detailed. In places a little technical (but not overly so...). Overall it does, we believe, an exceptional job of outlining what we might expect following Brexit and the inauguration of Trump. Were not surprised the author (Vimal Gor) has done such a great job of condensing these complex issues into a (relatively) easy to follow outline: Kristen from our office spent part of her career as an analyst working parallel to Vimals team, and can attest to his intellect and analytical capacity. Despite a reluctance to have too much "commentary" type content on our page, we feel this information is incredibly important. So, if you have an appetite for a longish read, set aside ten minutes or so, grab a coffee and follow the link. If, like us, you find it a little "heavy" initially, persevere with it. https://btim.com.au//income-fixed-interest-newsletter-jan/

07.01.2022 This short video talks about the Federal Budget 2017 that was handed down last night. Please let us know if you have any questions!

02.01.2022 Opinion piece from todays AFR. Will be interesting to see who really pays the levy: the Banks (shareholders) or their customers...
