20.01.2022 Congratulations to all the 160+ people that enjoyed Altona Beach Parkrun on this beautiful morning. A special thanks to our volunteers: Peter, Helen, Sean, Max, David and Quintin that helped the event run. Please ensure that you volunteer a couple of times a year. There is a link to the future roster on this page so please put your name down. There was a new course record set today by Simon Hurt of 15.20. What a fantastic effort! 20.01.2022 This week we had 129 people run, jog or walk the course, of whom 15 were first timers and 11 recorded new Personal Bests. Great work considering the windy conditions!! Congratulations to Ron, Mark, Joseph and Alison for reaching 50 parkruns, very cool. Thankyou to Nicola for the great cake! Nicola is well on the way towards the big 250 having reached 200 parkruns today. Thankyou to our wonderful volunteers, we can’t do it without you Casey, Joyleen, Charles, Annette, Debbie, Jasmine, Jeanette, Peta and Kirsty. We need a few more volunteers for next week - finish tokens, token sorting & barcode scanning. Just comment on this post or send us an email Have a great week.

18.01.2022 Hello parkrunners, It was a big day at Altona Beach parkrun today - big new course record!! We had to hunt for more barcodes This week 212 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 40 were first timers and 37 recorded new Personal Bests. Well done!!... Kellie Larsen ran her 100th parkrun with a PB - outstanding See you next Saturday - parkrun day.

06.01.2022 STEP OUT FOR WALKWEST 2020 Sunday 22 March 2020, 8am - 12pm Footscray Park, Maribyrnong The Western Health Foundation are having their annual fundraising event on Sunday 22 March - WalkWest.... WalkWest is a fun-run (or walk) to support our local hospitals in Melbourne’s west. Participants can choose to walk or run 2, 5 or 10km. 02.01.2022 Congratulations to the 142 participants who ran / walked @ Altona Beach parkrun. The rain held off and the weather was good for running. Thank you to our event director Jane who made cupcakes decorated with purple icing as we celebrated International Women's Day. Thank you to our volunteers who assisted today. If someone can assist with Timekeeping for next week that would be appreciated as we still need a backup timekeeper. Have a great week everyone and see you next Saturday at parkrun!
