11.01.2022 IT’S A SMALL (LIONS) WORLD AFTER ALL! A lockdown wish comes true. When plans for Colin Evans, a member of the Lions Club of Thornbury, UK went awry due to COVID-19, he contacted Lions Australia HQ in Newcastle, NSW. You see, he had planned to visit his daughter Joanna Gumley and family in Williamstown for Christmas and as this was not possible, he thought the next best thing was to send her a famous Lions Christmas Cake. A few emails later within Australia, the request to de...liver the cake arrived in the In-box of the Lions Club of Altona. They were very pleased to help Colin out, and this week the cake was delivered by Lion Maurie Tanian. 07.01.2022 It just wouldn’t be Christmas without a Lions Christmas Cake Thank you to all who bought and enjoyed the famous Lions Clubs Christmas Cakes and Puddings over the past years. Proceeds from the sale of the cakes go towards funding local community welfare projects. The cakes are available in 1.5kg ($17) and 1.0kg ($13) sizes and puddings 900gm ($13). Cakes and puddings contain over 50% fruit content and are all Australian Made. They are delicious and long lasting. A Christmas... is not a Christmas without a Lions Christmas Cake or Pudding. Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings will be sold at Bendigo Bank Laverton, Altona and Williamstown, Commonwealth Bank Altona, Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre, RSL Club Altona, Williamstown Bowling Club, Port Phillip Retirement Village Altona or we can organise contactless pick up or delivery within the Hobsons Bay area.
