21.01.2022 FRYDAS RETURNS It is with great pleasure that we announce the return of Matt Frydas to the Altona North Cricket Club this season! Matt returns to the club having departed in 2018 to have a shot at Premier Cricket where he played for the Greenvale Kangaroos in their 2nd XI for the duration of the 2018/19 season as their opening batsman. Having then suffered quite a serious foot injury that kept him out of the majority of the 2019/20 season, Matt returns very motivated and determined to have big year both personally as our opening batsman and for the club as a whole. No doubt his understanding and thoughts of the game along with the experience gained at premier level will be hugely beneficial to the club and the direction we are heading. Welcome back Matt

21.01.2022 It is with excitement, and a touch of sadness that the club would like to inform everyone that the demolition of our clubrooms has commenced. As we are the only club that has been at Crofts since these clubrooms were erected, our members, past and present, share many memories there. Anyone that has been there recently would know how overdue an upgrade of our clubrooms is.

16.01.2022 NEW SIGNING It is with great pleasure that we announce the return of Luke Rainone to the Altona North Cricket Club this season! Luke was first with us back in the 2017/18 season and had a solid first year in the VTCA as an opening batsman. However, the positive impact he had on the players and the club in general is still felt today. Having since played two seasons in the First XI at Ormond Cricket Club, Luke finished in the top 3 for batting average and runs scored in ...both years. Having solidified his game at a sub-district level, Luke is returning to the VTCA as he searches for that next challenge. Perhaps more importantly however, he returns determined to make an impact as a leader at the club both on and off the field. His experience, determination and drive for success will perfectly compliment our group and the direction this club is heading. It is a great testament to this club and especially those working so hard behind the scenes, that a player of Luke’s calibre so comfortably selected ANCC as the perfect club for the next challenge in his career. These are exciting times for the club. The imminent knocking down and construction of our new clubrooms, brand new modern training facilities, along with a complete restructure and re-laying of the back two ovals will be amazing for the club once complete. We couldn’t be more optimistic for the future. And for the season ahead, we know that Luke couldn’t be more motivated to get stuck into it, along with the rest of the playing group. Welcome back Luke #Rain2 #kingsofthecroft
