Last year it was for multi-billionaire, one of the worlds most powerful women, Gina Rinehart. Tomorrow its another extremely significant and powerful figure: Joe Biden, Vice President of USA. The moral of the story: music unites.

Weve played with many who all bring their personality, professionalism and individual charm to the bridal couples special day. 16.01.2022 What do Vice President of the USA Joe Biden and selfies have in common? ALTO STRINGS!!! After having our official photograph taken, Biden sees my mobile on a chair, takes us all by surprise as he picks it up and says, "Come on girls, come in close for a selfie". Never in a million years would I have imagined this would happen... and now when I see him on the news, I cant believe this all happened. A gig to remember. A fun time had by all. Life is beautiful. 16.01.2022 Emma & Ben tied the knot at Summerfields Bittern on Saturday. This was Alto Strings donation to Rabbit Runaway Orphanages Trivia Night to raise money for veterinary bills. We thank Emma & Ben for bidding on the prize! We had the best seat in the house.... !!

09.01.2022 It was an honour to perform yesterday for the funeral service of a doctor who had helped so many people throughout his life. Heres the response we received: "We were absolutely overjoyed with your performance along with your professional management of the whole exercise at such short notice and having a complete understanding of our wishes. We cant praise and thank you enough for adding a beautiful musical dimension to the service yesterday .The entire congregation thought it was a very fitting tribute - Dad adored his music".

06.01.2022 Crossing paths on the Andrea Bocelli & Delta Goodrem tour- Lena Bennett, Leigh Raymond (violins) and myself (viola). Its been a few since our show at The Famous Spiegeltent in Melbourne called Unstrung Heroes. The only member missing was Peter OReilly (cello) !!! Hopefully next time it will be a full re-union :)

04.01.2022 I heard the most romantic line said yesterday. Once Gayathri, the bride, had walked up the aisle, Daniel, the groom was beaming with a smile as he shyly asked Melissa, the celebrant, "Can I hug her"? All the guests went - Oooo how sweet. It was one of those perfect weddings - theyre my favourite type! As the string quartet, we had the perfect vantage point to watch a traditional Sri Lankan ritual of lighting of the candles. Congradulations G & D!
