23.01.2022 I have the most amazing community here. RTS wouldn’t be possible without the help of some wonderful people who are the heart and soul of our horses world and the reason they get to move into the world with such a wonderful start. To the amazing clients, who turn into family, thanks so much for inviting us to share your journey with you and your best friends To my team and my community, past, present and future: I am eternally grateful and incredibly blessed to have you. 19.01.2022 Today we had our second day of our confidence and leadership holidays program. Our wonderful young people got to spend some time connecting with their horses through grooming and working at liberty. Smashing their goals, building their self awareness and resilience. These young people are my absolute heroes! #RTS

15.01.2022 How much weight can a horse carry? In my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount. They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you can't carry it an...ymore. They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babys before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations. They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs. If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard, life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all. Quoted from Sage Sapergia

14.01.2022 We here at RTS would like to congratulate Jaimie Thomas and her wonderful RTS trained STB, Toohey! If you’re new to RTS, firstly welcome! This horse came to us from an amazing breeder nearby. He has proven, along with his awesome human, to continually raise the standard for the breed. Congratulations to both Jaimie and Toohey on your placing in the Parkes Show online ridden classes and the ALEC online ridden classes.... Jaimie and Toohey can be seen riding around the countryside continually raising the standard! Well done you two! #RTS

14.01.2022 Penny has had first ride this last week here at #RTS. We take our time, meet each horse where they’re at and make sure everything we do has a wholistic approach. We have a crack team of Nutrional specialists, body workers, farriers and vets that all work towards helping us being able to implement our training effectively. RTS could not do it all without you.

14.01.2022 We’ve had the wonderful Silver and his amazing human Niki here for training the past few weeks. They’ve been part of our confidence building and leadership program. He’s such a lovely horse and he has a very committed and loving owner. They’ve been started on an incredible journey together

13.01.2022 Today we sent Maggie home with her lovely human.

10.01.2022 We get the most incredible updates from Maggie’s humans! Here she is, a week after heading home doing some mounted games practice! Well done Georgie for stepping up and being a great leader for your horsey partner! So proud of this pair

09.01.2022 Little Redirections People tend to anthropomorphise horses - they tend to say how grumpy they are, or frightened they are of certain things. It’s easier for us as humans to use our emotional language to make the horse make sense in our narrative, in our world. Horses are not human - and they have a language all of their own, should we care to take the time to learn it. What I’ve found over the years is that whilst horses don’t experience the world exactly as we do, how we e...Continue reading

08.01.2022 Our amazing dentist was out at RTS today. He has so much skill and time for our young people.

03.01.2022 Working horses in the winter

01.01.2022 There’s been something special in the air at #RTS the last month or so. We are adapting particularly well to being at home and we also have had a pretty amazing student. Maggie is a 5 year old Percheron/Stockhorse Mare that has been here to be broken in. Maggie comes with her super committed human, 11 year old Georgie. Georgie and Maggie have a deep connection. This was very apparent form the moment they arrived. Not only has Georgie, with the help of her loving family, foll...owed and cared for Maggie her whole life, they’ve grown up together. There’s something really special about that bond, it’s not something I get to see everyday. Maggie has been with us at #RTS learning to become a ridden horse. Cool, smart and grounded are the traits Maggie will take well into her ridden career. Working with these two has been an absolute pleasure and we are looking forward to guiding Georgie and Maggie through a long and rewarding journey together.
