06.01.2022 As contractors we come across many business and residential premises that have electrical infrastructure that are non compliant to the Australian standards. It is a sad sight, especially when it is evident that this can be prevented from using a licensed electrician. Look for the signs - too cheap, unprofessional in appearance, no REC number, no licence. Ask for their licence and contractors licence if you have any doubts. If they do not display these licences, they are illegal to perform any work. More importantly, if you are contemplating of performing any electrical work yourself? Think again. You, your families and co-workers lives depend on it.
