20.01.2022 With the upcoming impending closure of offices and schools, Always Sunny will be offering Yoga and Group Fitness Sessions for Individuals and Families at their own homes, as well as outdoor locations! With the global anxiety-inducing incident of COVID-19, is it important you: - Prioritise self care by eating well, staying hydrated, moving, and sleeping - Talk to friends and family and others within your support network... - Do the things you enjoy! e.g. Yoga flows, painting, baking, etc. Just because the world around us is losing its bananas doesn't mean we have too... My number one priority is the safety of my clients and myself. I am practicing correct and sufficient hygiene, and will ensure this is carried out in sessions and with equipment. We can still move and flow, whilst being in this stressful predicament! If you have any questions at all, or are interested in a session with me, feel free to shoot me through a message! 20.01.2022 CONNECTION . . I am at a loss for words lately about the direction the world is going in. I remind myself to have faith. Faith in the sequence of life events and faith in the deep connection in our community. I remind myself to trust that everything happens the way that it is supposed to... I had been harping on lately about how distant I felt virtual yoga was ~ and how I couldnt wrap my head around doing it because it is so different from being in a room full of energy. .... . 17.01.2022 P E R S O N A L P O W E R When asked to describe ourselves in one word, how many of us would say powerful? On the contrary, how many of us would say powerless? Understanding and asserting our power over ourselves and the world around us can start to abolish the barriers surrounding us. We always have the power to change something inside of us or something around us. Although it is important we dont confuse power with control. Our power is our fire, our gut instinct - it... is our light inside of us that outshines all of the self doubt and negative self talk. Control is restricting ~ power is freedom. The sacral chakra is our energy center for our power, will, independence, responsibility and self discipline. To briefly touch on Patanjalis teachings of tapas, self discipline, I find that the little things we put in place to assert our power in the world around us and inside of us is the best way to start to unclog our sacral chakra. Understand your power and you gain your world.

When we allow our bodies to surrender with the power of breath and the quiet strength of stillness, just stretching turns in to therapy - and that act of having the capacity to give ourselves the healing we need is the greatest gift. OM VAM is the mantra that cleanses the sacral chakra, our energy center for creativity and sexuality. What brings us joy...? What brings us pleasure? What brings you your sense of creativity? In honour of International Womens Day, take time for yourself to heal - to find time for self care considering majority of the time we spend caring for others. As women we are creators - specifically in that sacral chakra area of the body - so it is important that we use our time wisely to heal and cleanse. Filling our cup is important, whether it being through having new experiences, participating in favorite hobbies, creating something, or being still with our bodies and thoughts. Pairing viparita karani with counting breath on your fingers is a cooling, calming and rejuvenating variation.

Every second our senses are taking in new information and our being/soul is taking in the energies around us!! I am finding lately that a lot of different people/places/stimuli are pulling my energy to a yucky place or a really happy positive place!! 08.01.2022 TADASANA mountain pose What an asana to feel proud in. To feel grounded in. To feel stable in. The essence of tadasana is to draw inward and to draw on the connection with the earth and with a deep rooted place within ourselves. OM LAM is a mantra to associate with Mountain Pose as it is the mantra for the root chakra. Our energy centre for feeling safe and secure. For being closest with the Earth in a stable nurturing place.... As there are Vata Imbalances common in todays busy overwhelming world, it is important to feed our root chakras with a grounding mantra or asana. Bringing ourselves back to the earth, back to a sacred connection and mindset instead of constantly fighting in the clouds.

07.01.2022 When creating a safe space in your home for practice, incorporating these 5 aspects is a must! THE Space (room, deck, mat, spot) its important you keep a consistent physical space in your home that is special and designated for practice this is your sacred and serene space ... Set the Tone if candles, plants or music are your thing, bring them on in Props if you have pillows, blankets, blocks, or balls, bring them in to your practice. You are at home now and even though it might feel strange, it is your creation! Make it comfy Tame the kiddies and fur babes if you need you time, then set yourself up for success. Make the pets tired or lock them out of the room (lol), same goes for kiddos, if possible! This is for you A practice is a practice if you wake up on the wrong side of the nest and all you can muster is laying down... do it! If you are feeling strong - push yourself! Dont put any pressure when you enter your sacred space.
