17.01.2022 Wow! After the heat of yesterday the amazing Craig Richards photography took this shot as a storm rolled in! I’ll let him explain below... I’ve had an incredi...ble year with my photography I’ve captured some amazing images and last night I was very lucky once again. As a lightning storm approached Warrnambool I decided to head down the Great Ocean Road. A little uncertain as to where I would stop my first thought was the bay of islands near Peterborough as it was pretty close. As I was driving I could see the lightning was more to the west so I made a decision to head to the Twelve Apostles instead. Lightning over the Apostles has been a dream shot of mine for a very long time. Well I made it but only just in time for one test shot and only two lightning strikes over the Apostles, I managed to get one useable shot... I’m pretty excited about this one! #Melbourneiloveyou

09.01.2022 The Great Ocean Road was built with just shovels and picks, by more than 3,000 returned WWI soldiers. For 13 years straight, they used only muscle to cut throu...gh rock and dirt. It was difficult work, dangerous too but these winding roads have stood the test of time. But at 100 years old, it's beginning to show its age. So we've employed some more modern techniques to help fix it up - including road resurfacing, bridge replacements, cycling lanes and new rock netting. The Great Ocean Road is an icon and the world's longest war memorial. We want to make sure it lasts another hundred years and continues to honour those who served.
