24.01.2022 Feel very blessed to have won a book give away, the critically acclaimed Hark, its me Ruby Lee CBCAs Early Childhood 2018 Notable & Shortlisted in the Prime Ministers Literacy Awards 2018. Ruby Lee is a little girl with a very big imagination. Every week Rubys teacher, Mrs Majestic-Jones, asks special people to do special jobs in her class. Ruby would do anything to be the messenger, as shes the best in her class at announcing. But will her wild imagination get in the way? The children loved this book and I am sure we will be reading it over and over. A beautiful book from award-winning author @lisashananhan_and illustrators Australia Award winner @binnyillustration. 17.01.2022 Todays story time was Summer Rain, a joyous serenade of northern Australian animals and landscapes in the rainy season. This booked inspired us to create our own colourful dot paintings. Following this we did some of our daily yoga which helps develop focus and concentration as well as enhancing flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness.

13.01.2022 Learning about ocean animals Today the children made jellyfish. First they painted paper plates blue and then stuck on google eyes and tentacles. They spun around the garden with the jellyfish blowing in the wind. Next they washed up the paint brushes and observed that the water had turned blue. They then submerged some sea creatures in the water making a game to see what they could fish out from ‘under the sea’. The children were given the opportunity to explore marine animals through books, puzzles and figures

01.01.2022 Extending our nature theme to learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. The children chose their colours and learnt about symmetry as they opened up their folded paper to see that both sides of the butterfly were exactly the same. We also enjoyed a trip to the local markets.
