We are a family friendly, inclusive workpla...ce that specialises in human rights and welfare support within the port of Gladstone. Working approximately 10 hours per week, initially as a casual, this position has the potential to grow into a more permanent role for the right candidate. Ideally hours will be performed between 9-3 Tuesday-Thursday. Flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. Day to day duties will include but not be limited to the following: Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance. Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing/maintaining a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures in consultation with senior management team Maintains and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions for reconciliation in a timely manner. Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. Maintains electronic historical records by filing documents. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Only candidates with a minimum 3 years’ work experience and extensive exposure to XERO, STP and Hubdoc will be considered.
