25.01.2022 Did someone say that the Cape York trip is only a month away...

24.01.2022 The lengths we go to get to the source of the odd sound

24.01.2022 And that's a wrap for Fraser Island Clean Up 2018. Our small contingent managed to clean up almost 180kg of rubbish across our 1.3km stretch. We had a wonderful time away, albeit with a few little hiccups along the way including a dingo breaking into a tent and Esky... Thanks 4WD Queensland and the 4WD QLD Fraser Island Clean Up committee for organising it for us.... Bring on 2019!

23.01.2022 Now that we are back from our Scuttled-by-a-broken-arm-not-quite-Cape-York trip, we are back in the swing of organising events. Back by popular demand, we will be going to the Bellthorpe National Park for our AGM. Don't forget to register through eventbrite if you can make it!

23.01.2022 Last chance to register for Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be wonderful Eventbrite registrations close this evening. Here's hoping that we see whales and dolphins again.

22.01.2022 Fun day out at Sundown National Park today. Almost 80ks at an average of 7.7kph. Might have to do this one again next year...

21.01.2022 And that's a wrap for the official events for 2018. Thanks for another great day Rok-stars! While the majority went for a nice drive around the park, the rest of us got the BBQ ready.

19.01.2022 The trip plan will be going out tonight for those registered to attend on Sunday. Don't forget to register through Eventbrite if you are planning on attending.

17.01.2022 Less than two weeks until our next day trip. If you are keen to test the ROK, register for the event now. For those registered, the trip plan will be sent out early next week!

17.01.2022 And we're away... It's a beautiful day to be going to the beach!

15.01.2022 Touchwood - the weather looks good for this weekend... but then again, it is an ACQ trip. Registrations for this weekend close on Friday. If you are keen to come, make sure you register on Eventbrite. For those who have registered, the trip plan is about to go out now!

15.01.2022 Doing our little bit to keep Fraser Island beautiful with 4WD Queensland

13.01.2022 Back to reality after another wonderful ACQ camping trip. Plenty of relaxing, fires, bushwalking, firewood gathering and beers over the three days. We also managed a lovely leisurely drive through the area. Peter Dianne

12.01.2022 Check out the report on the Bellthorpe National Park trip on 11 February - www.amarokclubqld.org.au - Bellthorpe National Park day trip - by Brooke Fossey I was really not looking forward to this trip. This was the same trip where we got Lola's first scratch... in her first week of ownership! This time, we had muds, sliders and a few more tricks to help us through so I was a little more confident, but

10.01.2022 Pretty much sums up the weather at Sundown. Finally reached double figures at 2pm.

10.01.2022 Airing down and ready to take off for our sundown trip

09.01.2022 A pest management program meant the park is due to be closed on the original date Never fear, we have moved the day trip back one week. We will be going to Sundown now on 17 June!

09.01.2022 The stats from 4WD QLD Fraser Island Clean Up are in. A staggering 6,974kg were removed by 730 willing volunteers in one morning. The proof of how good the ef...fort was became evident when we left the island on Monday afternoon. It was clean. A special thanks to the team at Drop Bear Adventures Fraser Island Tours for helping us out on the sorting table and to the crew of Just Cruzn 4wd Club for helping to sort the recyclables. What did we pick up? * 741 cigarette lighters * 4,578 straws / cups / plates / cutlery * 2,367 plastic toys / ribbons / poppers * 43,701 plastic lids * 2,075 plastic bags * 6,442 plastic beverage bottles * 4,962 rope scraps * 20,674 plastic film scraps * 9,606 pieces of foam * 1,468 glass stubbies * 2,481 Aluminium cans * 4,382 pieces of aluminium wrapping * 1,569 thongs * 7 toilets The most alarming find was 1,723 Cyalume Sticks used by fishermen to light up buoys at night and by beach partyers. And the most satisfying statistic is the removal of 131,350 pieces of hard plastic. These are, or will become, the small bits that are dangerous to our wildlife. A special thanks to the team from North Coast 4x4 who with their tipper truck picked up additional items/bags on the Monday morning. But to everyone involved, an amazing effort. 09.01.2022 Someone is pretty happy with our Queensland National Parks certificate for our efforts at 4WD Queensland's 4WD QLD Fraser Island Clean Up weekend

08.01.2022 Another great day trip at Bellthorpe

08.01.2022 The report for our Lockyer NP trip is up on our website - www.amarokclubqld.org.au - Lockyer National Park day trip - by Brooke Fossey I love this day trip! It is such a lovely area, not too hard and always gets a good turnout. Not to mention the picturesque BBQ lunch spot at Ravensbourne with incredible views.... The only real hiccup we had on the trip was from a toilet training toddler needing to go

08.01.2022 Lunch for the end of year party tomorrow... You don't get cheese at your Bunnings sausage sizzle!

07.01.2022 A new amarok owner has asked the club about whether aftermarket, underbody protection is a good idea, or whether the standard kit is protection enough? Obviously, our opinions are shaped by how and where we drive, but generally what do you think?

06.01.2022 Permits have arrived for a quick camping recon trip coming up. A small group will be scoping out the island to see if it is an option for a camping trip sometime in the future.

06.01.2022 Check out the report on our latest event at our website - www.amarokclubqld.org.au - 2018 AGM and Bellthorpe day trip - by Brooke Fossey While we had a decent turn out for the day trip, numbers were down this time around either due to school holidays, mechanical issues or sickness. With 10 cars in the convoy, we set off through the beautiful Bellthorpe National Park. The track was quite rough this time around

04.01.2022 This year's crew waiting for the Barge for 4WD QLD Fraser Island Clean Up weekend.

04.01.2022 After battling IT issues for the last couple of months, we finally have access to our emails! Thanks for your patience and we will now start clearing up the backlog.

03.01.2022 Time is running out to register for our end of year event on Sunday. The committee will be putting on a Bunnings style BBQ. Registrations are through Eventbrite and they close lunch time Friday.

01.01.2022 Fraser Island Clean Up 2018 - here we come. Thanks 4WD Queensland for organising the event again this year.
