22.01.2022 Brewarrina Aboriginal Fish Traps Estimated to be the oldest man-made structures on Earth Brewarrina Aboriginal Fish Traps About 90 kms east of Bourke NSW there ...has been an Aboriginal presence in the town that is known today as Brewarrina for over 40,000 years, extraordinarily there remains evidence of this on the Barwon River in the form of ancient stone fish traps. the oldest man made structures that exists on Earth, these stone fish traps are reportedly evidence of engineering skill, knowledge of river hydrology & fish biology, ask 10 different people what they think is the oldest surviving manmade structure on earth and chances are you will get 10 different answers. The pyramids of Egypt or Central America? Not even close. Stonehenge? A relative newcomer. The Neolithic farmhouses of the Orkney Islands, or the megalithic tombs of France? At 7,000 years of age, the oldest of these barely registers alongside the granddaddy of them allthe Ngunnhu fish traps of Brewarrina. http://nationalunitygovernment.org//ancient-site-australia http://www.environment.gov.au/heritage//national/brewarrina https://www.environment.nsw.gov.au//viewattractiondetail.a See more
20.01.2022 Connection. The hands are Dad, Mum, 9yrs, 6yrs, 3yrs & a baby. How an unborn baby relies on Mum for nutrients & love. A baby is already apart of a family and brings everybody together as one mob, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents.. love that is already there before a little new life is born. A journey yet to make its way in the world but fits in with other lives. So much culture to learn and different experiences to go through but having everyone there to help and guide you as best as we can. Every life has its place in this world. Guide your loved ones and little ones to a better life as best you can
19.01.2022 A commission piece im working on
18.01.2022 Finished this painting The Wagyl. Its my sons principals last day today, he retired due to an illness & i thought this would be a nice going away present as i remember him saying to me last year when i gave my sons teacher a painting as a Christmas present that he would like one too. I asked my youngest sons teacher if she would get the kids in EC4 to do all their handprints & then i would paint in the middle. So i dropped my paints off & she did a fantastic job with the kids handprints The Wagyl is a popular Aboriginal story for our area so thought this would be fitting. Hope you enjoy Mr Wiseman.

06.01.2022 Fenton has also found what he believes are churinga (sacred) stones at other 12,000-year-old sites in Turkey thought to be connected to the Göbekli Tepe culture.... They display the concentric circles characteristically used by Aboriginals to depict watering holes, and the zig-zag lines used to depict water ways
