22.01.2022 Now that we are allowed out a bit more, it is really important that you check to see that you are carrying the oils necessary to survive. These are the 4 oils I never leave home without! I carry all 4 of these single oils in my handbag at all times. The reasons I do do follow: Lavender: Cut, burns, abrasions, bites - you name it and Lavender does it. It is safe to apply undiluted and I use it for things like sealing open wounds, when I pull the skin around my fingernails, s...unburn, after squeezing a pimple, headaches, stress, there is always something I need it for. Chamomile: Mouth ulcers, babies teething, chaffed lips, burned your lip of cheeks on a hot coffee - as it is already diluted in jojoba you can apply directly to the skin. Great for anything red and inflamed as it has high anti-inflammatory properties. Large raised bites, itchy skin......actually itchy anything! Peppermint: Clears the nasal passages, runny nose - couple of drops on a tissue helps nausea. Indigestion and tummy upsets, headaches, blind pimples, really really itchy bites. Wakes my brain up if necessary - which can be often! Dave carries a bottle in his pocket everyday. 16.01.2022 In my early days of aromatherapy I was told to cut a fresh clove of garlic, cut it in half and squeeze the juice onto the instep of my foot. Then I had to time how long until I could taste it in my mouth. At 30 seconds I got a metallic taste in my mouth - at 48 seconds it was as if I had eaten the garlic and I stunk of garlic for a couple of days. That moment was a pivotal point in my life. If things moved into my body that quickly, what were the chemicals we used daily doi...ng to our health? I threw all my cleaning products away and taught myself how to replace them. 26 years ago there was very little information to assist so I just followed my gut. Then I progressed to my personal hygiene products, that wasn’t easy either as Amazing Scents and all their bases didn’t exist back then. Apparently only hippies wanted natural products or so they thought. I never quite fit into that box! When I got diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 16 years ago, I started to realise the link to fluoride so I made my own toothpaste and mouthwash. I will never use normal toothpaste again! When I learned about Aluminium being linked to breast cancer and Alzheimer’s I learned to make my own deodorant. One by one I learned simple and easy ways to reduce toxins in my life. I am so grateful for this journey, I can’t undo the things that occurred beforehand but I can influence the future. I have dedicated 26 years to teaching on what I know as I learned it. I never new this path was ahead of me until my darling husband got sick. So glad I took a leap of faith. I love that I will leave a legacy for my children and generations after. If they are reluctant to try them, then don’t make it an issue- walk away. Pushing the point can just push them away and they will miss out on this amazing experience. Sometimes it can just be sitting in on or in hearing distance to listen to the logic from someone else. To help the transition from holiday mode to astute learner we recommend having some of the following blends at the ready: Anxiety blend- Some kids do not cope straight away with change. A roll on with Nutfree carrier oil and our anxiety oils of Bergamot, May Chang, Petitgrain and Ylang Ylang may lessen the emotional uncertainty of the first day of school and all the other new changes. Focus blend- Help keep their minds awake and... sharp, ready for the long day ahead for learning. Students will benefit from the oils of Basil, Lemon, Rosemary, Peppermint and Spearmint either in our beautifully compact inhaler (if you have one) or a roll on with a carrier oil. Harmony blend- Kids can sometimes become aggressive or have tantrums when overwhelmed and the first day of school can be a trigger for this. 03.01.2022 When people ask me how I find time to make all my personal hygiene and cleaning products, I want to ask them how they find time to shop for them all? Shopping is time consuming, expensive, exhausting and frustrating, at present it is also dangerous as well. Most people spend hours shopping every week, being marketed at every level and buying so much more than they intended - often leaving with 4 bags instead of the 4 items they went in for. ... They have little or no knowledge of what’s in products or whether the labels are correct. They just buy what they think is best, usually based on advertising. I spend approximately 1 hour every 8 weeks and make up all I need. Think of how much I save in time, energy, money and senseless purchasing. It is so therapeutic just making these products and the reduction of toxins and the influence on our health is immense. The only side effect is more money left over for the better things in life. This is why we teach those who are willing to change

01.01.2022 The last week has been big-full of new things and first times along with a Virtual Gift Making Class, 5 full office days, 4 virtual workshops in different states and our first Open Day. But undoubtedly the biggest change is our first venture with homeopathy. All of those that know us are aware that both Dave and I came to aromatherapy with some pretty big ailments, most of which lead back to the 50’s and 60’s and the over prescription of Tetracyclines. These were the beginnin...g of common use and prescribing of antibiotics and there was no understanding that there would be long term issues including autoimmune, gut micro biome, anaphylaxis and chalky discoloured teeth to name a few. Homeopathy, like many of the natural therapies involve plants but they can’t be stored or taken around essential oils due to their strong vibrations. We knew we used oils a lot but to find spaces in our day where we have 30 minutes of not being near oils - quickly take a tiny pill - then no oils for another 30 mins, surely takes careful planning in a world full of the magic of aromatherapy! ‘Homeopathy is based on the Law of Similars which is an ancient healing principle stating like cures like. Simply put, a substance capable of producing certain symptoms when given to a healthy person will cure those symptoms in a person during an illness.’ We are very open to so many different or ‘alternate’ health options- yes they take longer but they are all about getting to the core rather than band aiding the symptoms and there are no bad side effects. We are so grateful for all of our journey, learning how to live a cleaner life and diet. Shedding the guilt of the past and working towards a healthier future was and still is our priorities. Who would have thought that the fork in the road when Dave became really ill 26 years ago would dramatically change our whole direction in life and that we would be so grateful for that.
