25.01.2022 Many moons ago myself & Gary Burrows worked together on a songwriting project for the Semaphore Music Festival to bring to life the story of young Jimmy, the local paper boy from Semaphore. Jimmy helped support his family with his paper sales & then secretly enrolled (before his aged allowed) to go to war. Happily he returned safely to marry his sweetheart and lived many happy years. Recently myself & Kelly Brouhaha filmed this song for his daughter's special b'day. We hope you enjoy this tune full of hardships & joy of Jimmy The Paperboy.

07.01.2022 Something I wrote this morning. Time For The Taking Amber Joy Poulton Remember yesterday? The old world? When the wheels were in motion & we were just the passengers?... When we yearned for the time to start something new? To finish projects that were possibly a bad idea to begin with? A moment to sit with a book. You know, the one that chose you but still the cover is the only page you’ve read? What will we do with this new time? Plan, plot & try to keep busy because time goes so slowly when you’re bound by it? Or perhaps we’ll watch it tick & wonder how time is the same whether it’s behind us, in front of us or right now. What will we notice with this new gift of time? The music coming from the charm hanging just outside reminding you to look up & appreciate, even just for a moment but you never had the timetill now. What will we see with these new eyes? Maybe a new patch of sunlight on your kitchen floor that you never noticed? The little plant that’s been knocking on your window begging to be seen has a slight shimmy to it from the breeze. Oh & that breeze that now touches your face ever so gently as you sit outside with your cuppa the way you always said you would, if only you had the time. What will we discover about ourselves that was there all along? A calm we never knew we had? An idea that would never have found it’s way? A longer laugh? A wider smile? A moment longer than the last to think about this new world? Or we will realise that time is the same whether it’s behind us, in front of us or right now. Funny how when time itself is our only gift from this strange new world All of a sudden it’s like an uncomfortable silence with a new stranger..You. What will you do with your new gift of time?
