25.01.2022 Who can spot and identify the tenacious weed in this shot?

23.01.2022 I took these photos a couple of months ago whilst at Lake Elphinstone, west of Mackay in Qld. Fellow campers told me that where we were camping is usually under water. These photos show the usual water level... we can see the aquatic roots from these trees marking the norm, and in the background we can just see some water still in the lake. The water level is metres below the usual mark, locals told me. The third picture shows the southern end of the lake... baking dry in the winter sun.

22.01.2022 Let it never be said that Callistemon doesn’t like a drink :)

22.01.2022 There’s a certain magic that happens on top of a mountain where we can dance among the clouds and peer among the canopy of a dense rainforest.

20.01.2022 Sometimes when we get up early and get out into the kayak we see something we don’t usually see. An alley of Callistemon lining the banks, weeping over the still water, flowers glistening in the morning sun.

19.01.2022 I love clambering along the coastal headlands and finding interesting rocks like these.

18.01.2022 A bird flees the safety of this ancient skeleton as we approach on the kayak.

17.01.2022 Check out Pindari Dam located in northern NSW. The water level is so low it felt like we were walking on the moon... except of course there was gravity... https://youtu.be/9mV59Zx0Hlg

16.01.2022 Exciting news folks! I’ve recently opened up a shop! There are 90 products to choose from including a selection of clothes, cushions, throw rugs, phone cases, coffee mugs and more. The best part is my artwork is on them! It’s very exciting to be able to see and share my photography in a more functional way. Initially I’ve organised for 17 of my favourite photographs to be available and in time I’ll share more. Have a look! There’s something for everyone ... https://www.redbubble.com/people/AmberLHall/explore

08.01.2022 I’ve ordered a stack of things from my new online Redbubble. I like to know how things look and fit before I promote them too heavily. Here’s a sneak peek at one of the dresses with my design Puppy Planet printed on it.

07.01.2022 After a chilly 2 degree Celsius dawn the dogs and I strolled down the road by the Springsure campsite toward the glowing Virgin Rock.
