24.01.2022 Once a maker, always a maker. Its almost hard to explain the feeling I get from creating something with my own hands, but to say that I live and breathe it is pretty close. The past few weeks Ive been loving getting my hands dirty again working with silver and learning the art of silversmithing. I dabbled with it years ago but now Im learning it for reals. Its different to leatherwork but theres similarities too, and Ide love to bring the two together in my own way. This sweet little flower will make up part of my first piece, its by no means perfect but thats the beauty of it
24.01.2022 When you bring a few natural elements together in an unexpected way, a little magic happens. I came up with the idea of this leather and cane wall hanging for myself at first because I wanted something round on my wall. Its inspired by my love of retro cane, hand-stamped leather, and mandalas, combined with age old traditions in leatherwork. This one is about 30cm wide, and Ive got plans of making a big one and other colours too. Would love to know your thoughts x

22.01.2022 ~ 2016 thats a wrap, last orders posted yesterday!! And now is a good time to share some exciting news. No telling these last few months Ive been a bit distracted. BY THIS!! Seems we bought a Kombi, and weve been busy starting to plan an epic roadtrip around Australia for 2017. 20.01.2022 I picked up a bunch of these Hmong tribe tassel pom poms earlier this year on my travels in Thailand and Im deciding what to do with them. Ive got thoughts of making a limited number of oversize gypsy inspired clutches dripping in poms and trimming, but also loving it adorning my fringed bucket bag. Such a nice little pop of colour and they make the sweetest jingling sound too

Inspired by my love of the ocean and dreams of endless summers of salt water, and sand dune flowers. Mottled turquoise leather, trimmed with silver lacing detail and adorned with a hand stamped floral mandala. Its a mid-sized clutch with one main compartment. 20.01.2022 Its a work in progress still, but this crescent pendant is what Ive been working on while learning silversmithing. What a labour of love, so much time goes into the smallest details, the respect I have for my silversmith friends and the amazing work they do is real!
19.01.2022 When packaging is just So. Darn. Gorgeous. This sweet turquoise and tan leather tassel choker is actually the cord that ties the brown paper packages, so dont throw it away but repurpose it. Would love to hear your ideas about how else it could be used

13.01.2022 This is my first completed piece as part of a design brief for the silversmith training Ive been doing. Its definitely a statement ring and an absolute labour of love! Made by hand using hand tools, I dont even want to know how many hours I spent measuring, cutting, filing, forming, sanding, hammering, soldering, more soldering, trashing it then starting all over again, but when I started polishing and could see that beautiful shiny silver come to life, every moment was worth it. Im so inspired by these new skills, and cant wait to bring them together with my leatherwork, and as much of a challenge I have ahead of me, Im taking it on and running with it!!

Its my first attempt at stone setting and it didnt happen without some rookie errors, but the end result Im pretty darn happy with. My turquoise collection is starting to bulge so Ill be making some pieces, all one offs, and may even sell a few if I can part with them!
