24.01.2022 Keeping me company on this cold night

24.01.2022 I would just like to let everyone know that my laptop died. I have managed to get all my folders onto an external hard drive but until I get it fixed I cant look anything up. Please be patient and I will get back to everyone on my waiting list Thanks Elly

23.01.2022 I would like to once again let everyone that has either joined the waiting list or have sent me an email I will eventually get around to replying. I have my own health issues as well as my husbands to deal with as well as look after my cats and babies every day so please dont think I am ignoring you but life is just so busy and I am exhausted by the time I check my emails and as I only have my phone to use till I get my computer back up and running its difficult for me on ...the phone. I also need to apologise to all the people that have messaged me thru my page that I have not had the time to reply to everyone. The best thing is to email me at [email protected] and be patient. We will be mating some girls next month so that the current litters have gone to their new homes prior to more babies being born. Once the next litters are gone in February/March I will have to have a break as I have to have my brain tumour (benign) surgery as the Stereotactic Radio Surgery I had previously didnt kill the tumour and as it has been slowly growing and impacting my brain stem and affecting my trigeminal nerve it has to be removed surgically. I have been booked in for surgery 3 times and needed to cancel for one reason or another but I cant keep putting it on the back burner anymore for my own health. Once I have recovered from this surgery I also need to have my extremely large para-oesophageal hiatus hernia fixed as 2/3 of my stomach has passed thru my diaphragm and is also squashing the lower lobe of my left lung (Atelectasis) Sorry for any inconvenience to those that wish to have kittens from me. 22.01.2022 Over the past few weeks I and many other breeders have been receiving a large number of enquiries for kittens. The pressure of handling these enquiries has been... placing undue pressure on a lot of breeders. There are some of us that are also coping with personal health issues. Please note that it takes a minimum of 5 months from when the girls are mated to when the kittens are ready to go to their new homes and that is if they fall pregnant on that heat. Most of the time I do have a waiting list and those people have first pick of a kitten. As a breeder I have the right to retain a kitten that I feel is suitable to be retained for future breeding, this then means fewer kittens available as pets. For kittens that had already been born most of them were already reserved many weeks ago. These enquires for kittens has gone far beyond our expectations and therefore there just are not enough kittens to go around. I along with many other breeders have reduced the number of matings because of the economic situation caused by Covid 19 but I will try to fulfil my orders over the coming months. Please be patient and understand we have no control over the sex and number of babies born in a litter and that not every kitten born survives even tho we try so hard to help babies make it spending many sleepless nights sup feeding etc.

13.01.2022 ANOTHER UPDATE, feeling both heartbroken and angry as another one has grown her Angel wings this morning UPDATE Feeling rather devastated today as I had one ba...by grow her angel wings this afternoon after finding her in the corner of the birthing box cold and gasping. I gave her CPR and warmed her body in warm water and then used the dryer to dry her of and warm her little body and she showed slight improvement only to find her passed away in the corner again. Then tonight I found 2 more babies passed away as well up against the side of the box, little mouths open. Lass is a big girl and my guess is she squashed them THIS IS THE PART OF BREEDING I HATE AND I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN KEEP DOING THIS AS I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN THIS SEASON WITH 4 DIFFERENT LITTERS. NEVER HAD THIS MANY TIMES IN ONE SEASON BEFORE IN 20 YEARS OF BREEDING After being up all night on kitten watch I finally went to bed after 6 am and no signs of labour Shane wakes me up at 8.30 to tell me that Scottish Lass has given birth to 4 kittens in her litter box. She has a nice clean box with heat mat and clean towel in it. I jump out of bed to attend to Lass and her bubs and wipe them dry and place them into the clean box and clean up Lass as best I could as she had wet sawdust stuck to her coat. She gives birth to another 3 kittens, all 7 look like they are a good size. Will weigh them later and take photos

10.01.2022 Good evening everyone! A friend sent me a screenshot from gumtree tonight....and I have to say I was a bit shocked, and wanted to post about it here... Im sure... many of you are aware there are scams going on with puppies and kittens at the moment. Please also be aware that there are many unregistered/backyard breeders posting kittens for sale at completely absurd prices...eg, $3000 for an unregistered 8 week old kitten with little to no vet work, no health guarantee and no tests so show the parents are clear of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). I cant stress enough, please do not consider buying from these money hungry people....it will only end in heartache and they disappear as soon as issue strikes. Please also be aware there are on-sellers out there for puppies and kittens...if you have a gut feeling something isnt right, do not buy. Please find attached some examples of sellers to stay clear of....and a good social media page to ask and post about possible scams. Please feel free to share.
