24.01.2022 Repost from City of Gosnells. Do you know a young BMX rider? The Lions Club of Gosnells recently leant the City a hand to construct this Peewee (mini BMX) track at Chelsfield Park in Gosnells. ... The Club was keen to help the City in the redevelopment of the park, and we think theyve done a terrific job! Once complete, the park will also feature: - Nature-based playground with shade sails, sand and rubber soft-fall - Large lawn areas with sports multi-goal - New seating - Bike racks - Lighting - Drink fountain Chelsfield Park is expected to be completed late this year.
23.01.2022 Chelsfield Park in Gosnells has just received a make-over! Residents recently came along to a special opening of the park, which now features a shaded playground with a log trail, new paths to improve access, a barbecue, picnic table and shelter, tree plantings and installation of an automated irrigation system. There’s also a pee-wee BMX track for younger bike enthusiasts to enjoy special thanks to Lions Club of Gosnells volunteers, who assisted with shaping the circuit.... 20.01.2022 Repost from City of Gosnells. The first stage of the exciting Gosnells Town Centre revitalisation is now underway. The new-look town square will provide better access from Albany Highway and create a more usable, safer and friendly community space.... With construction beginning today, the vacant land adjacent to the Agonis will not be available for parking. The Knowledge Centre library at the Agonis and other nearby businesses and services will remain open during the redevelopment period. A new 55 bay car park including landscaping and lighting will be completed following the completion of the Town Square. Read more about the project here bit.ly/2YDkhke.

18.01.2022 We will remember them. As part of the City of Gosnells recognition of Remembrance Day, displays have been installed at Thornlie Library and the Knowledge Centre in Gosnells, to pay respect to Australians who served during armed conflicts, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Community members can view the displays during library opening hours until early 2021, including items from the City's Heritage collection as well as an original slouch hat, on loan from the Gosne...lls RSL Sub-Branch. 17.01.2022 Yarralinka Primary School, coming to life near Ambia, have revealed their logo. Wheat The wheat represents Yarralinka wheat, reflecting the road which the school takes its name from and the past agricultural practices that occurred in the area. The curve in the wheat reflects the school’s vision of every child being on their pathway to success and has been positioned in the middle of the word Yarralinka to represent the growth of the whole child as they undertake their educ...ation at our school. Triangles The grey triangle represents the child and the red triangle our community (families, staff, wider community). The red triangle has been placed over the grey triangle to represent the school’s vision of the community overseeing and helping our children to grow. Having the wheat go through the triangles reinforces our vision of every child being on their pathway to success. Yarralinka Text A strong bold text has been used for the word "Yarralinka". This style of text represents the uniqueness of our school and the resilient, strong, well- rounded students that we are seeking to develop through our focus on the whole child. Follow their page for updates www.facebook.com/yarralinkaps

05.01.2022 Do you use a lot of takeaway containers in your house? Dont forget, plastic takeaway containers can be recycled in your yellow top bin. Simply rinse empty food containers before they go in. This small action reduces contamination and improves the outcome of all recycling.... For more info, check out the waste and recycling guide on our website here bit.ly/2HpeQ1f.
