Protein Pikelets This container says low carb because majority of its carbs are fibre, and fibre doesnt spike Blood Sugar Levels like sugar does, nor is it fully digested by the body. ... Eg. do the maths below: 352 cals P 18g C 24g F 16g But (18x4)+(24x4)+(16x9)= 312 calories, not 352 If we use the fibre carbs at 34g (18x4)+(34x4)+(16x9)= 352 calories. So this tells us some calories COUNT FOR NOTHING because the body doesnt digest fibre. 20.01.2022 From HIIT and cardio to heavy lifting. This queen just got a 100kg PB.. whilst she was recovering from a cold!! Your strength, determination and ability to juggle three kids with two jobs is so inspiring! I returned to @ambitiousbodies because even though I was exercising 4-5 times a week HIIT I had slipped into some habits that weren’t giving me results. Not tracking, eating wrong proportions and over training. ... I knew from last time that macro tracking worked and after putting on bathers in July realised I’d undone all my hard work from before. I know now this has to be a way of life and not slide back I’m happier with having a leaner body which gives me more self confidence but also the diet suits my gut which I have issues with. AB has been growing and we want to keep helping even more women! The fight we’ve watched you give, the determination you have to pick yourself up after every dark moment is true inspiration for all the women battling debilitating mental health. We’ve sadly watched you struggle, but more importantly we’ve watched you rise above. We mean it from our deepest of hearts that we are so eternally proud of you for never giving up on becoming better. Ambitious bodies has helped me grow so m...uch as a person, mentally and physically. When I first started i was too scared to even talk to Courtney. Its been almost two years and although i struggle to stick to one goal as court reminds me i enjoy training and the way it makes me feel. Ambitious bodies has helped me make slight changes in my mindset towards myself and how I view the world and also my nutrition. I went from eating toast alot of the time to eating balanced meals and more vegetables. I still have a long way to go but I'm learning a lot and making improvements. My training has gotten so much better. I've gained so much strength and by training it has helped with my depression so much. 17.01.2022 ? Finally feel on track with training then sicks kids or yourself pull you back? Do you have the exercise knowledge to find HOME ALTERNATIVES for your gym-based Training Plan.. (: ?)... Majority of exercises using Barbells, Dumbbells and Machines will have a similar alternate exercise you can do with close to no equipment at home. *sure its not as heavy, but sometimes 20-50rep light training is exactly what you need. Take Booty Bands, Washing Baskets, Buckets and Chairs for example. We can use these and intensify workouts with: * increasing reps * increasing range * adding 1/4s or pulses * adding extra bands * adding long holds * doing single limb * reducing rest time * grouping exercises * doing DropSets, Max-Outs, 15>1s, 100>1s If youre sick of doing the same thing and stuck on a plateau let @AmbitiousBodies design you a Training Plan! 14.01.2022 Having a partner whos away more than home can be tough on anyone, let alone a mother of two. But this stunning goddess makes it work. I started with Izzy as I was blown away with her fat loss results and I wanted to achieve my own fat loss. I suffer from body Dysmorphia (its an actual thing) and something I struggle with on the daily. The biggest thing I have taken away from Izzy and her coaching would have to be mindset. Yes Ive seen changes in my body but the bigg...est win for me has been the change in my mindset. There are so many coaches out there who give you a meal plan and training plan to get you results. But they dont teach you to learn to love yourself, they dont teach you about mindset and how important it is, they dont teach you about making this a lifestyle change and not just a quick fix. They dont educate you enough to feel confident to achieve your fitness goals whatever they may be. 12.01.2022 Determined, confident and strong. What a journey it has been for @charlie.mcloudyy Prior to meeting court I was a very different person then I am today. I have been in n out of my family home since I was 15yrs old supporting myself so lets be honesty my eating was bloody terrible I would often not eat or extremely over eat and it was always processed junk! I had always been insecure about my appearance growing up, I would spend about an hour each morning panicking ...and stressing over what to wear because I never felt comfortable or confident in anything I hit a point in life where I was sick of being miserable something needed to change Along this journey Ive found things Ive struggled with, things that have challenged me. Never did I understand the importance of food and how much it effects your body and mind. My eating has played a massive part of my growth learning to eat enough each day but ensuring its nutritional food to fuel my body! 09.01.2022 -. -. .. . I joined Ambitious Bodies in October 2018. Before signing up with Izzy I had no self confidence. I never liked what I saw when I looked in the mirror, I had very little to no self worth or self love & After many years of feeling this way I had, had enough. I started with 3 x 60 minutes PT sessions a week. I now do 5-6 sessions a week, having built this up slowly over time. ... I have learnt how to exercise and train for my goals and increase my strength. How to have complete control over my nutrition and NEVER feel restricted, yes this means having meals out and a cocktail every so often and chocolate every day. I have learnt how to master my mind set and I now feel so in control of my life. All aspects of my life have improved since working with Izzy. I reached my unreachable goal of competing. I am no longer a victim to the restrict and then eat badly cycle. I am so confident in myself and have learnt that I am worthy and I deserve to spend the time and energy investing in my health and nutrition, not just for now and my physique goals but to keep me fit and healthy for the rest of my life, to feel good inside and out. To be around for a really long time and to be able to see my great grand children grow up. 07.01.2022 Who can relate? One of our clients common concerns is We know it can be frustrating cooking several meals, but this doesnt have to be tricky if you get good at cooking. ... Eg. Making my partner his toasted sandwiches versus my green breaky doesnt take any extra time or effort than if I were to eat the same. Same goes for dinners. Whilst he might have 200g of roasted potatoes and 50g green beans with his protein, I might just have 250g cumin-charred broccoli and cauliflower with mine. Eating healthy doesnt have to bland, boring, restrictive. Strength, energy and confidence are, like they are for Nightshift worker mum of two @nancycougs When I joined AB I was tired, unmotivated and a bit miserable really. Heres a tasty, vegan, high protein ball thats super yum but not crazy sweet like most you buy in stores with their dates and additives. 30 balls for 3 ball serve:... * Blanched Almond Flour 160g (16g each) * DF Protein Protein Powder 160g (16g each) * Nutritional Yeast Flakes 40g (4g each) * Cacoa Nibs 30g (1g ea) * Himalayan Salt 1g * Coconut Oil 120g (12g each) * Queen Sugar Free Maple Syrup 100g (10g each) *note instead of sweetener you can use almond butter / coconut oil but calories will increase *Make in bulk for Meal-Prep 10 serves of 3 (30 balls)* 1. Mix all DRY ingredients in a large bowl 2. Melt coconut oil and maple syrup in microwave then whisk until smooth consistency 3. Pour into dry mixture until fully even mix 4. Using cookie dough scoop or kitchen cooking gloves, roll balls into 20g sizes and place on baking paper to then set in fridge. 5. 05.01.2022 I have always struggled with my weight and it has always defined how I live my life. I was at my lightest when I was 18, loving life and was very confident in how I looked. Then I fell pregnant and 3 kids later and a failed relationship I had gained another 30 kilos. I am now 42 years old. ... I have tried every diet from the cabbage soup diet to the lemon detox diet. Some were successful but the weight never stayed off and I would always return to my old eating habits. I have followed this cycle for the last 20 years and it has impacted my self-esteem and my non-existent social life. Late 2019 I decided now was the time to take control and start the journey to a healthier and fulfilling life. Thanks to Izzy and Courtney I am now well on the way. Courtney has created programs for me that are very challenging but I fill comfortable in doing by myself as I find the gym a bit out of my comfort zone. I have also learnt a lot about the food I eat, in the past I was always focused on eating as little calories as I could I have now realised this has probably contributed to my weight gain. I am learning new things every week and can actually say I now enjoy the gym, its a time to de stress and focus on me. This is a journey for me and I have accomplished a lot in the last 6 months and excited for the next 6 months. My only regret is not doing this along time ago. 03.01.2022 Eilene was dealt some tricky cards, but nothing will stop her building her best future. The pain I was in when I started stemmed from years of self shaming and anger towards my body, bad diets and choices, emotional eating. I made a mental mind switch realising I am so blessed to have my legs and arms and the ability to do something about my situation I just need someone to point me and guide me in the how, how to achieve my goals. I started to exercise because I love my ...body not because I hate it, that mind set is what gets me through each session! This is what God has given me .... it’s not perfect but it’s me and I owe it to myself to be the best version of that, the healthiest one! I have learnt so much in the past year and a half in handling my condition and focusing on what is in my control, mental strength and consistency! This is a life style not a quick fix, life will throw me set backs but it’s looking at the next step in progress each day that shows the greatest impact in the long run! If youre like us, we eat lots of our meals at work, so having food completely ready to go in advance is essential to avoid needing last-minute takeaway. eg.... White = Turkey mince Blue = Honey Mustard free range chicken Purple = Slow-cooked grass-fed beef Or White = Corn & Zucchini Fritters Blue = Tofu Satay Purple = Cumin-Charred Mix Veg Add in pre-frozen veggies, and/or add fresh veggies on day of eating 1. Cook up your favourite meals in bulk, and freeze a bunch in containers 2. On the night before / morning of, take out the meals you need to the day to let defrost 3.
