25.01.2022 My latest review, click on the link for the full story Hereford 2015 Shiraz Heathcote Victoria Black cherry in colour that is rich and dark. Smells sweet on the nose, candy fruit is the call. 17/20 cheers Gaz https://gazshiraz.blogspot.com.au/
23.01.2022 Grant Burge 2015 5th Generation Barossa Shiraz It reminds me of blood plums or blackberry coulis, a dark black purple so rich in colour. Candied Boysenberrys leap from the glass. Thank you Stephen Halse go to my blog for the for story, http://gazshiraz.blogspot.com.au/
23.01.2022 Lovers not Toreadors 2013 Tempranillo, Ribera Del Duero, Spain A dark plum in colour that is sparkling like a bright Ruby under the down light. A hint of oak pops out from the glass with a tickle of my nostrils from a gentle waft of alcohol. With a swirl of the glass and some coaxing cherries and chocolate appear. From the nose to the palate the chocolate and cherries flow with slightly grippy tannins that balance against a smooth silky feel, a little white pepper on the finish. We enjoyed this with a well matched char grilled porterhouse. 14/20 Cheers Gaz

04.01.2022 There are defined ripe dark cherries on the nose, some coconut husk and a hint of sweetness. I am excited so far and keen to dive into the glass. go to my blog for the full story http://gazshiraz.blogspot.com.au/
03.01.2022 Serafino 2016 Tempranillo McLaren Vale SA The label is what sold me on this little number, WOW very dark black cherry in colour with fantastic depth we enjoyed it with braised beef ribs on black rice. 14/20 cheers Gaz https://gazshiraz.blogspot.com.au/
03.01.2022 Corte Carista 2014 Chanti Classico, Italy A dark black cherry in colour with great depth and a nice sheen to it. Dark fruits of black cherries, dusty oak with a hint of lees. Grippy tannins up front, silky smooth feel as it glides through. A mix of dark berries of Boysenberries and blackberries with soft oak in the back ground. Its full and bold with a long finish. Its well worth a look for $10 at Aldi. 16/20 cheers Gaz
02.01.2022 Monsters, Monsters Attack! 2014 Clare Valley Riesling Made by Some young Punks I found comments on earlier vintages of this wine so Im guessing young grads from Roseworthy? I love it, flying in the face of wine snobbery. Golden in colour just a shade under my wedding ring. Apricot with its blossom jumps from the glass, followed by some chalk dust with a hint of kerosene thats a surprise from such a young Riesling. Very full on the palate and quite viscose in the mouth. Luscious ripe lychees with some lemon zing that nicely balances the acid for a clean feel. Theres a couple of points of residual sugar that all comes together in perfect harmony, dont be scared off by the label as this is a great wine Im looking forward to finding some more. 18/20 Cheers Gaz
02.01.2022 Graggy Range 2012 Pinot Noir Martinborough NZ Lush dark cherries and earthy truffles with greenish twigs. We enjoy it with Dauphinoise cheese, Jamon iberico ham on slices of baguette and pretended we were in Burgundy just for a moment. click on the link for the full story. https://gazshiraz.blogspot.com.au/
