22.01.2022 I removed this small Carpet Python from a chook pen at a Cornubia property this afternoon, the home owners thought their pen was snake proof, but in my experience, just when you think a snake can't get somewhere, they'll surprise you and your beloved family pets might become dinner. So if you have chickens / birds, guinea pigs in your backyard be sure to do your best to secure them because this is a sight I come across all too often. 21.01.2022 I was asked to attend a Wynnum home to remove this Eastern Brown Snake which had gotten itself caught up in some netting that was laying around in the backyard of the property. The snake was extremely calm during the ordeal almost like it knew I was trying to help, after a few snips with the scissors it was released without a mark on it. 11.01.2022 I drove all the way out to a property in Ripley a couple of days ago after this Carpet Python had been spotted early in the morning, I didn't arrive until after 7pm but I knew it still had to be close and sure enough after about half an hour of searching the snake was found laying in the guttering on the roof. 04.01.2022 With all the rain we've had in the South East lately the grass is growing like crazy but it doesn't have to grow too long to provide refuge for snakes. This Carpet Python was found curled up in ankle high grass at a home in Calamvale. This time it was just a Python but next time it could be something a little more dangerous so I've posted these pictures to show just how important it is to keep your yard tidy, a snake this size could easily make a meal of small family pets. 02.01.2022 I was called to a job at a house in Loganholme yesterday 20-1-20 for a snake in the roof, the snake I removed was a Jungle Python, this type of Carpet Python is not native to SE QLD therefore is obviously an escaped pet, so if you know anyone in the Loganholme area who lost their Jungle Python please tell them to message my page with photos of the snake for proof of ownership so they can be reunited with their pet otherwise I'll have to hand it over to the relevant authorities.
