The glass shortage had forced the house to turn to other containers: the gilded aluminum estagnon. It protects the fragrance from light and considerably improves its lifespan. It was Émilie Costa, daughter of the founder, who had the idea of browning the estagnon to make it an object both feminine and intended for sale to the general public.
