03.01.2022 This week is NAIDOC Week, where celebrations are held across Australia each year to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal people. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples represent the oldest and richest cultures on earth. AMES recognises that Australia always was and always will be the lands and territories of First Nations peoples. AMES is also committed to our Reconciliation Journey, as we continue the work of building together relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and the wider community for the benefit of all. Inclusion is at the heart of reconciliation, just as it is central to AMES vision. This also extends to strengthen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.
