14.01.2022 In 2016, through the generosity of the Carthew Family, the Ararat Legacy Club Memorial Gardens were planted at AME Systems Gordon Street site in Ararat by Legatees and a band of Community Volunteers. Today, the gardens which include 400 species of indigenous plants are flourishing and are a testament to honour our departed war veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.

13.01.2022 Blue Ribbon Day coincides with National Police Remembrance Day and is a chance to say thank you to Victoria Police who protect and serve our community and ensure that those who have fallen are never forgotten. This year it means more than ever. 2020 has been a difficult year and it has been especially challenging for Victoria Police, tragically losing four members in April, providing front line response to protect our community and now supporting the efforts in the fight against COVID-19. AME Systems supports this important campaign to remember the 170 Victoria Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and say thank you to all Victoria Police officers for their work in serving and protecting our community.

For AME Systems navigating the Covid-19 Pandemic has been challenging, especially for AME’s Melbourne facility in Bayswater. Since the beginning of August, stage 4 restrictions have been applied to metropolitan Melbourne encompassing both AME’s Bayswater factories and employees. We are continually proud for the resilience and courage that our Bayswater team have shown during this time.

With diligence and enthusiasm Sheridan has enjoyed mastering the Pre Blocking and Kitting area. She really enjoys the opportunity and challenge of running the area on her own when the occasion arises. Sheridan is a consistent, self-motivated and dedicated part of the team who you can always rely on. Her attendance record is undeniable and something to be ...very proud off. Well done and thanks for the continued effort Sheridan! I have found AME to be very challenging and rewarding. It’s great to work for a company that care about their staff. 04.01.2022 EMPLOYEE PROFILE - Saskia Elling Saskia’s background in Engineering gives her a sophisticated grasp on even the most challenging projects in her field. We have been fortunate enough to have Saskia join the AME team in March 2020 with her background complementing the cultural diversity and range of skills in the AME Systems Engineering team. Saskia previously studied her Bachelor of Engineering - Technical writing and Project Management and completed her bachelor thesis with... Mercedes Benz Trucks on the autonomous driving ‘Highway Pilot’ system. After Mercedes, Saskia worked as a Technical Writer for an engineering office in Germany. One of her customers was Schleuniger - it must be destiny as Schleuniger Crimpers are used at AME! Due to our current high demand of ‘in coming’ work, Saskia was thrown straight into the deep end. With her switched-on personality, ongoing commitment and strong attention to detail Saskia quickly learned the AME specific requirements of the role and continues to produce high-quality work. We are enjoying Saskia’s great sense of humour, unique perspective on life and work, evolving knowledge, experience and savvy problem-solving skills. It’s been quite a cultural shock. New Job, New Country, Newish Language! I had to learn to adapt to the ‘AME way’ of doing things very quickly, but the welcoming environment with friendly and passionate people has helped me a lot.
