24.01.2022 Happy New Year The Victorian committee are excited to announce that we will be having a State show in March! ( date and venue to be announced shortly) ... We are also having our February monthly show with date and venue coming shortly. Please get behind the January show on the 24th at Heathcote. Entries close in just over a week and strictly no entries on the day. Our judge is Naomi Schofield. Sponsorship for supreme in each section is $25. 23.01.2022 Hi everyone, with metro / regional opening up in a couple of days the committee are pleased to announce our first show of the season at Heathcote showgrounds on January 17th. 18.01.2022 AGM Information: this email was sent to Members on the 20th October. Some members received garbled/corrupted messages, not quite sure why. My apologies. Here it is for you to read. Sue 22nd October 2020 Dear Members, Our Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is due to be held mid to late December 2020. Several Committee Positions will become available at that meeting and we are calling for Member’s to carefully consider how/where they can serve the Society. National Committe...e: nominations are called for the following National Committee positions: President (to be eligible for this position, a Member must have served at least one year on the National Committee.) Secretary (to be eligible for these positions, Treasurer all nominees must have been Full Financial General Committee Position (3) members for at least 12 months.) Descriptions of Committee Positions and eligibility for Standing for these positions can be found in the AMHS Constitution (from page 15). The Constitution can be found on the AMHS website under the FORMS tab, DOWNLOADABLE FORMS and RESOURCES IN OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS section. A Nomination Form for Committee Positions is attached. Further forms can be found on the website: FORMS tab, DOWNLOADABLE FORMS, NOMINATION FORMS, COMMITTEE NOMINATION FORM. Special Resolutions: Members are invited to put forward ideas for changes/alterations to the AMHS Constitution and/or Show Rules. These changes are called Special Resolutions. Details of how to write and submit Special Resolutions are outlined in the AMHS Constitution under Section 41 Clause 2 (page 25). Only 56% of members read the last email relating to AGM, so almost half of you are missing out on keeping up with our activities. It makes it very difficult for National Committee if a large number of members are out of touch with us. Please FIND, READ & RESPOND!!

16.01.2022 Hi everyone, i’ve just been informed by the owner of a horse that was at our event on the weekend that their horses is extremely sick with a virus and is currently at an equine hospital. This is a courtesy post for people to please keep an eye on their horses and ponies and we wish this member and their horse all the best and hope he recovers quickly. Regards Jesse

This is being held at Bathurst Showgrounds but is not going to be on the hot oval but in a lovely grass area with plenty of shade parking incase is hot . ... 05.01.2022 Hi everyone, with Covid numbers on the rise in the past couple of weeks, shows prior to the new year look very ominous in Victoria. I’ve had a number of members contact me in the past week or so asking if there will be a reduced membership or joining fee waived for the coming season. Unfortunately there won’t be. ... Memberships pay for just some of the following and do not help individual States with running their shows. *Public Liability Insurance *Registry Office costs *Software subscriptions ( Member Jungle Microsoft Office) *Netregistry *Quick Books *Auditing Fees These all have to be paid each year. Unfinancial members cannot register foals or upgrade their horses/ponies and members will occur late upgrades and rejoining fees if their membership isn’t paid before the end of September.
