23.01.2022 Just one last thing before our lives 'move on' and this page and our wonderful show fade in significance... Thank you for trusting me and my crazy idea Thank you for taking the risk Thank you for your passion and hard work Thank you for believing in my 'vision' and bringing 'the Dream' to life... To all the cast, the crew, the teachers, the parents and the support staff who gave up so many hours of their life for this year's musical... It was AMAZING. Thanks for coming on the "A Midsummer Night's Dream" journey with me. I think Shakespeare would have been proud!! Much love, Mrs Routley xx See more

19.01.2022 Hi again. Just letting you know that that last message was from Mrs Ash. I forget that it's actually Mrs Routley's site and I need to identify myself... Sorry.

19.01.2022 Attention young thespians! The Dalby Players are running some workshops in the days prior to their Drama Festival. You should definitely attend the festival over the weekend of 13 and 14 July - a great weekend of one act plays from all over South-East Qld. If you are interested in attending a workshop, being run by the adjudicator, details are in the letter here... (Mrs Routley)

15.01.2022 Hiya, I'm hijacking this site as the Footloose one isn't up yet. This Sunday is the first full rehearsal so just a reminder to anyone who is going to rehearsal today to take food and drinks to get you through the 5 hours. Remember that no one is allowed to leave the school grounds once there so you may end up having to share your lunch with those who thought they could nip across to Freedom. They can't Please pass this message on via text to anyone in the cast. Have a productive and fantastic rehearsal everyone.

15.01.2022 Arrangements for cast and crew for Saturday are as follows: Arrival at the hall is 11am for main leads, 11.30 for the rest of the cast for normal hair/make-up/mic-up/costuming routine, with the matinee starting at 1pm. It should go until about 3.30/3.45pm, at which point you ARE expected to leave the hall until normal 5.30/6pm arrival time for the final evening performance. ... Have a rest during the short break, have a picnic or quick snooze, and come back ready to blow the roof off the hall one last time!

14.01.2022 What will Puck do with this purple flower?

12.01.2022 Once more with feeling...

12.01.2022 Another night, another superlative show! Congratulations to everyone involved on coming this far, and for leaving the crowds crying out for more each night. But we can't rest yet! One more massive effort from each cast on Saturday will bring us to a victorious end to what has been an amazing journey. If you know anyone who hasn't seen it yet, GET ON THEIR CASES NOW! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

08.01.2022 Afternoon team, Mr Wood here. I just wanted to stop by and give a quick personal note of thanks to everyone for the last five or so months of hard work, sacrifice and dream chasing. I consider myself very lucky that I was able to be involved with such a group, and that I was able to witness your evolution into Shakespearean legends. For what its worth, I am so, so unbelievably proud of you all. To think I played a small part in helping you conquer and achieve like you have is... a very special thing for me indeed. This week of shows was simply superb. A massive thanks to all the staff involved who worked so damn hard, but especially to Mrs Routley - her vision came alive, and I feel very lucky to have been her AD. To the Year 12s - thankyou for letting me be a part of your final musical experience. You are extraordinary and a real credit to the school. To the rest of you - I can't wait for next year! The prospect of directing all you crazy bananas is something I am very much looking forward to. Thankyou again. Love and respect. (Let me leave you with this song as a testament to last night. If you missed our little performance, you missed the debut of Dalby High's newest boyband... no, don't be upset.)
