25.01.2022 Grubby nails, gold dust and lots of deco in my workshop today.

24.01.2022 I would like to introduce you to Charlotte. Charlotte is my own original design that’s been made by using both traditional hand making practices and modern technology. My design was drawn and printed on CAD (computer aided design). The cad designer copies my design on the program which then prints a wax model, the wax is then cast in gold at a casting house. I clean up the components, assemble, add handmade claws for strength, then set the stones all in my Mildura workshop. It’s really important to know how your jewellery has been manufactured and it’s totally ok to ask your jeweller how a piece of jewellery has been made. Charlotte is part of my ready to wear collection and available in any combination of gold and stones. PM for more details.

23.01.2022 Dismantling something old to create something new!! The process of using my clients stones from old jewellery is like solving a little design puzzle - I get all exited about the possibilities!!!

22.01.2022 This beautiful London Blue Topaz set in a fine 9ct yellow gold bezel, was commissioned for a sweet 16th birthday present. Simple and elegant, a keepsake that will last a life time.

22.01.2022 After an initial consult with my clients where I get to know them and their style, I render 3 designs for them to choose from. I feel so lucky that I not only get to be creative at the bench making small wearable sculptures, but also at my sketch pad. Being able to make precious heirlooms for beautiful souls is the most rewarding career ever.

20.01.2022 I am loving all the beautiful handmakes I’ve got on my bench to make this month. It’s so nice to have a job where I get excited about going to work - also helps that my clients are AWESOME!

18.01.2022 Here’s my Art Deco inspired ring, Caitlyn. You can pick any colour centre stone, gold or halo stones. It can be personalised to what ever your heart desires.

17.01.2022 I had to use my muscles with this remodel! This chunk of gold was made from dismantling and melting 3 of my clients rings. Forging gold by hand makes the gold more durable and less porous than cast jewellery.

17.01.2022 This 18ct white gold wedding set has been cleaned, polished and Rhodium plated. Rhodium is part of the platinum family, and I use it in a liquid form. After polishing the rings, I clean the surface in a salt bath, then I coat the metal with Rhodium by using electroplating. Although white gold can look pretty special cleaned and polished with out being plated, Rhodium gives the surface of the metal a reflective platinum appearance. I rhodium plate in house at my work shop, I can even do it while you go and have a coffee

16.01.2022 One of the most exquisite sapphires I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. This stone was an heirloom, it was set in a 18ct yellow gold pendant that I dismantled and remodelled into this timeless design.

16.01.2022 A HUGE congratulations to my second favourite cousin and his fiancé on their engagement. So happy for you Mark and Leanne. (Only joking, your my favourite)

15.01.2022 Who doesn’t love a behind the scenes look at how jewellery is made?? I could stalk manufacturing jewellers pages all day long looking their progress photos of how they make different pieces, there’s more than one way to skin a cat

14.01.2022 This stunner is the first design for my ready wear collection I made this ring using traditional hand manufacturing skills along with modern casting techniques. My first order for this design was in 9ct white gold with an Australian sapphire centre and diamonds set in the halo. Firstly, I hand made each component in 9ct yellow gold, then had silicone moulds made of each piece so that I can reproduce this design in whatever colour gold or stones you desire without paying the hours of labour to make the whole ring by hand. DM for more details if you would like one on yours or your loved ones finger x

14.01.2022 This ring was made from a collection of broken jewellery that my client gathered over several years. A pile of old gold and gem stones transformed into a family heirloom

12.01.2022 Holla! Just incase we haven’t met, I’m Amie, the chick that those grubby fingers belong to that pop up on your news feed! I’m a jeweller who makes little mini art works out of precious metals and gems that become my clients family heirlooms. Nice to meet you x

10.01.2022 This ring was hand made using my clients diamonds from jewellery collected over a life time. After discussing what styles of jewellery my client loves and taking measurements of the space on her finger, I presented her with 3 designs suiting her brief and this is the one she chose. I absolutely love meeting new clients and absolutely adore the lady this ring belongs to.

08.01.2022 Carving away at this 9ct rose gold emerald baguette and diamond ring. Very therapeutic with repetitive strokes - just what my busy brain needed.

07.01.2022 Top plate finished, now onto the under gallery. I really love saw piecing, I find it very relaxing.

06.01.2022 Boy oh boy I do a green sapphire! Pair it with two tapered baguettes and my hearts stolen! This ring was made for a beautiful client and represents very significant milestones in her life. This design is elegant and classy just like the lady who this belongs to x

05.01.2022 Another dust storm rolling in.

05.01.2022 Pssst.... want to know a huge big secret tool I use in my workshop? Blu-tack! Yep! I use blu-tack and plasticine aaalllll the time to lay out diamonds and ring components to help me both visual a design and work out how to solder a complicated design together.

03.01.2022 The start of something very special!

02.01.2022 My poor fingers this time of year get an extreme exfoliating treatment from my coarse bench files! Oh the days when I had pretty hands......

02.01.2022 Totally in love with this sweet 16th ring! A beautiful Australian mined and cut Sapphire in a dark forest green. Set in a simple recycled 9ct yellow gold 4 claw setting allowing the stone he be the centrepiece.

01.01.2022 This deco inspired ring was commissioned by my client for her daughters birthday. The stones are from two different rings, a sapphire and diamond ring given to her for her 21st birthday and a diamond ring handed down from her grandmother that was 100+ years old. I carved the components out of wax and then cast in 9ct white gold. I assembled the ring and set the stones in my Mildura workshop.
