25.01.2022 Why A Canal? First of all thank you for commenting, the response was overwhelming positive and with a few negative comments this proves to be a great debate. We would like to discuss the canal and some miss informed comments made on assumptions....Continue reading

21.01.2022 A Millennial Project has been two to three years of research and planning, It has been self funded and I have dedicated hundreds of hours of my own time. I have consulted University Professors and leaders within the fields needed. Happy for general conversation and questions but if you are going to hate please provide your own theory, why and how it is an alternative. Please share this page with your Australian friends :-)

21.01.2022 The main component of A Millennial Project is to build a 1 km wide canal from Gulf of Carpentaria to the Simpson Desert allowing it to flood (rough outline in pic). This will allow shipping (a faster route than the east coast route), supply unlimited water for desalination, wide enough for fish farming and allow for the evaporation process to create rain for regional areas, and cool the core temperature to allow for comfortable living, it will also have unlimited recreational uses. #floodthesimpson #amillennialproject #regionalliving #water #droughtproofaustralia #australia Sky News Australia Sunrise Channel 10 TODAY

21.01.2022 While there are current plans to drought proof Australia in discussion, there are major inconsistencies and problems arising and reasons that these plans will not work to the potential that is being promoted. 1. The Bradfield Scheme was designed by Dr John Bradfield in 1938. The population in 1938 was 6,898,541 and was growing at a rate of just over 30,000 annually, as opposed to today 25,203,198 and grows by about 300,000 annually. 2. The current Bradfield Scheme model would... not cater for todays population nether less growth of rural and regional areas. 3. If the government built the Bradfield Scheme or a modern version the water will be charged for, farmers are already broke and rural towns dont have the budget to purchase water, so it would inevitably be tax payer funded but sold to the highest bidder and therefore wouldnt provide water for growth of these areas. 4. The Bradfield Scheme and the Dam idea, while good initiatives, rely on flood waters. The reality is when the north is in flood a pipeline wouldnt be able to pump the amount needed and this only happens once or twice through the wet season, so the reality is that the amount of water needed would still out way the amount of water available to be pumped. 5. According to Scientists and Professors that I have discussed this with, the water quality would be very low and would not suit human consumption with distance and heat a major factor in this. Also flood water can be contaminated by sewage, pesticides, and stormwater 7. Building dams throughout Queensland also solves very little of todays drought problem, again water is needed for these dams, and little has been mentioned in regards to evaporation, of which the percentage would be high. The often discussed reincarnation of the Bradfield Scheme also shows the inability of todays government to think outside of the box, but the underlying issue here is, would the tax payer pay for the scheme and then the water sold to the corporations instead of given to the farmers?

20.01.2022 A Millennial Project would see Increased Manufacturing Increased Agriculture Increased Aquaculture ... Increased Tourism Increased Logistics Increased Construction #jobs #education #australia #infrastructure #globalfoodbowl #opportunity #destination #water #droughtproof #farming

16.01.2022 Australia has the ability, and space, to build major infrastructure projects that would see us in a strong economical position and give use the opportunity to compete with strength on the global market.

13.01.2022 If you happen to be sitting in your car eating at a fast food place because the dining room is closed and see a truck driver walk to the door and walk away please ask them if you can drive thru for their meal. Since walk up isnt allowed at the drive thru they have no way to get their meal. We owe them that much! Remember without a truck and truck driver, you actually wont have toilet paper.

12.01.2022 The Suez Canal a 193.3 km that took 10 years to build 1859 - 1869, no trucks, no excavators, none of today's technology, @amillennialproject would see a canal 5 times the length benefiting all of Australia. #amillennialproject #australia #australiatogetherasone #infrastructure #rain #droughtproof #farming #rivers #ecosystem #thefuture #fauna #flora #reserves #jobs

11.01.2022 Did you know that there is over 400km of man made canals on the Gold Coast! #amillennialproject #australia #infrastructure #thefuture #jobs #water #droughtproof

09.01.2022 Could Australia be running out of food? Sunday on #60Mins, why Aussie farmers are still fighting for access to precious water to feed the nation.

06.01.2022 There is no better time than a crisis to bring people together, Australia should be now using this opportunity to discuss our country's future and it should start with major infrastructure that can create fresh water to rural communities and farmers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Jgdkgmioo8

06.01.2022 The effect that the coronavirus is, and will have on Australia only supports the call for Australia to undertake a massive infrastructure project to secure our economy.

06.01.2022 By flooding the Simpson Desert you would cool the core temperature of Australia and change the surrounding environment. This would see a temperature reduction in a number of deserts temperatures and allow for re-forestation and more livable areas.

04.01.2022 After this epidemic blows over I am wondering if people will reconsider inner-city living and move to houses with larger blocks so as they can grow their own produce and not live so close to other people. #regionalgrowth #homegrown #backintheday #amillennialproject

03.01.2022 There will be two ways to recover from the financial outfall of the Coronavirus 1. Sell all our assets to offshore investors 2. Go into further debt and build infrastructure to benefit Australia for future generations with an outlook of paying the down the debt faster through the creation of jobs, farming, manufacturing, tourism, exporting, etc

02.01.2022 Well worth the watch now we all have some time! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4OBcRHX1Bc
