15.01.2022 Exciting news, today we started allowing visits in residents rooms again! Due to the administrative procedures required at the moment, the visits will need to be conducted during the following hours: Monday Friday 11am-12noon and 1pm-2pm as well as Friday 4-5pm and 6-7pm. There are a number of restrictions for visits, relating to the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No3) (COVID-19) Direction 2020: 1. Visits need to be made to the resident by one p...erson (or 2 persons together), for the purposes of providing care and support to the resident. Only one care and support visit is allowed to be made to each resident each day. 2. Visitors need to have been vaccinated for 2020 influenza and have evidence to show this. (End of life support visits are treated differently and will be discussed where required). During other times, garden visits outside the fence are still available. Management will continue to regularly review (weekly at this stage) and re-evaluate visitations in consultation with residents and families. We really appreciate your patience and support as we continue to work hard to keep our residents safe. We would also recommend that if able, you download the CovidSAFE app that the Government is recommending so that if you do happen to come into contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, you will be notified ASAP and can notify Aminya if you have been to visit, this will help us keep our residents safe.

14.01.2022 Just a reminder that our residential aged care facility is still closed to all visitors. We know this is having an effect on both our residents and their families and we are working on ways to continually support them and ease the impacts. At this stage, community and family members are still able to leave items for residents, but we ask that you phone ahead before dropping these items off, so we can make arrangements for them to be received safely. These items must be things... that can be easily cleaned/sanitised by staff before handing on to your family member. This is a great time to get creative in messaging loved ones and using virtual messaging such as Facetime and texts, if you don't have our mobile numbers, please let us know. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns about your loved one. #covid-19 #stayhome #staysafe

14.01.2022 When we open back up for visitors, please note that before entering our facility, all visitors (staff, volunteers and contractors included) will need to have evidence that they have received the flu vaccination this year. Get yours now and make sure you keep a record of it!

12.01.2022 Please be advised that management have made the difficult decision to lock down Aminya as of Thursday 26th March 2020 until further notice. As you may be aware, older people are at a greater risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 in the community and if they are then infected, they will not only become very unwell and risk death they also pose significant risk to all of the residents, families and staff at Aminya. These are very difficult and unprecedented times and the i...ssue of us having to make decisions like restriction of visitors has not been easy or taken lightly by management. We ask for your understanding, and assure you that we are not finding this situation easy to manage ourselves given Aminyas values. Visiting times for the next 3 days are as previously advised to families: 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm as well as Tuesday 6pm-8pm. Please make the most of these times if you are well, assessments will still be done upon entry. From Thursday (and until further notice), visitors will not be allowed the enter the facility. At this time, we have mobile phones with Facetime and we are determining other procedures for visits, which we will advise in time. Again, thanks for your support and understanding.
