25.01.2022 In case the last post didn't come through, there have been a few changes here. Amber is off to be a Mum in January ( not long to go, but Amber is still doing what she can and doing it well ) and Grace has joined to take her place. Katie has also joined as a Dental Hygienist. Dr's Tina and Chris have both left to take care of business in their Denmark practices, but we are still open and working hard to keep up with the post Covid, pre Christmas rush. More later

24.01.2022 Tried this for lunch. Delicious.

23.01.2022 Too much sugar is bad for our health. You would be surprised at just how much sugar is in processed food. Check the labels on your groceries and find out just how close to the top sugar is on the list of ingredients.

21.01.2022 Well it looks like we have all been very good citizens and there are rumours that we will be dropping back to Level 1 restrictions in the near future, so we may be able to do pretty close to everything. Stay tuned for developments as they come to hand, expect the usual "vetting" questions to continue and be patient as we work our way through the backlog.

21.01.2022 It was wild out at The Gap today. A different thing to do in our lunch break

18.01.2022 Not the right conditions to take notes...

18.01.2022 After another long session about ( amongst other things ) Digital Dentistry, why BRONJ has been reclassified to MRONJ and why that is significant ( actually it becomes very important ) upcoming changes to Infection Control and Radiographic Interpretation of TMJ disorders, it was time for a drink at the Ice Bar! Yes, the whole set up is made out of ice and you get a discount if you reuse the ice glass until it melts.

18.01.2022 May the fourth be with you! Dental Conferences aren't all hard work!

18.01.2022 What's a "shroom burger"? Based on a Steven Gundry recipe, they are easy to make, very healthy and very tasty. Head over to our website (www.amitydental.com.au ) and find out more under "recipies"

11.01.2022 Leanne, Amber and Bron pretend that they are paying attention at the Staff meeting

10.01.2022 That looks good enough for an "all day breakfast".

09.01.2022 Corona Virus Update At Amity Dental Centre we continue to operate under the standard infection control procedures prescribed by Government, for Dental Practices within Australia,... to prevent the transmission of all infectious diseases. This includes Covid 19, (Coronavirus). We have made a few changes such as asking that you use the hand sanitizer provided in reception. We have removed the paper magazines and books to minimise the risk of cross infection and rearranged the chairs to provide greater social distancing. There are also chairs in the gallery. In the surgeries. We follow all the STANDARD INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES in Dental Surgeries, which are applicable to ALL infectious diseases, including Covid 19 (Coronavirus). We also run air filters that will remove particles down to 0.1 micron from the air. These filters run 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We will be asking all our patients, new and existing about any previous travel, potential exposure and symptoms. If you have traveled overseas in the last 14 days, or been in contact with a confirmed, or currently being tested case of Coronavirus, or have ANY of these symptoms: Fever Cough Sore Throat Shortness of breath Then please call reception on 9841 5653 for rescheduling and further information.

09.01.2022 We're BAACK! All Staff and Mike, Chris and Tina are back to work and fully functional again. The total revamp of the computer system is underway to make life easier.

08.01.2022 OK, we have another very quick but healthy and tasty recipe up on the website ( www.amitydental.com.au ) under Trivia and Extras - recipes. Portobello 'toast' with goats cheese and pine nuts

07.01.2022 dodging rain and water to the viewing platform

06.01.2022 We will be monitoring the regulations and will advise any changes as they occur. Stay well. Stay safe.

06.01.2022 These are just a few of the different names that sugar can go by on the list of ingredients in the food we eat. They all add up to "sugar" in our diet, contribute to tooth decay and a raft of other health issues. Moderation is the key. In the case of tooth decay...more a case of how often you have "sugar" than how much. Like to know more...ask us.

03.01.2022 More wild stuff from the Gap and Sharp Point. The most exhilarating Staff meeting we have had for a while....

02.01.2022 Yes, we are open. As of next Tuesday, the 28th April, restrictions on Dental services have been eased from Level 3 to Level 2. There are still some procedures we can't do, but please call us on 9841 5653 if you need an appointment. We will be calling you if you have had your appointments cancelled due to the corona virus.

01.01.2022 O.K. here is a quick and tasty snack or "starter" which will be on the recipe section of our website shortly. It didn't last long at lunch time. Baked Camembert with pears and other bits...

01.01.2022 May the Fourth be with you!
