22.01.2022 We are proud to display the beautiful new lead light art work at the front of our chapel, created by the talented Mark Hewson of Torbay Glass Studio. This magnificent artwork features Albany's local flora and fauna, the King George Sound and pays tributes to our Anzacs. Many thanks to John Dekker (J & TW Dekker) and his team for assisting with the installation, to Reuben Dekker Electrical (Westline Power and Solar) for lighting and to Ron de Jong for the image. This artwork has in excess of 2500 pieces of glass, is approximately 14 metres wide and has taken Mark 6 months to create. The public will be invited to view the artwork at a date to be announced in the near future.

We have collaborated with Green Man Media to provide a professional, quality service and were recently featured in the below article by the ABC.

12.01.2022 - COVID-19 UPDATE - Due to government restrictions, that we do understand, support and will adhere to, the way funerals are conducted will have to temporarily change. We will do all that is in our power to enable families to grieve and farewell their loved ones in accordance with these new restrictions. All funerals now must be restricted to 10 people in attendance and the required social distancing measures have been carried out. We are looking at using online platforms to... stream services. We also will not be able to offer catering and after funeral service functions during this time. If any of this changes with time we will advise. - We encourage a hand on the heart and a nod to express your condolences as opposed to kissing, hand shakes or hugs. - We ask that any person experiencing the following does not attend a funeral or an arrangement. Fever, sore throat, runny nose or a cough. - As per government regulations any person who has come from overseas is required to isolate for 14 days. Attending a funeral or an arrangement is not an exemption. Please also reconsider attendance if you have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or someone who has come from overseas. Please note we will continue to do whatever we can for our families as we work through these next hard months. We find it heart breaking to have to restrict you in this way.

09.01.2022 ABC recently aired a segment called 'After Death' on their successful program Four Corners. If you had the chance to view it you possibly found it an interesting watch but it may have left you feeling saddened. The segment aimed to highlight those within the industry who lack respect for the deceased and empathy for those grieving. We really love the words below, written by fellow Bunbury Funeral Director and friend, Taryn Barrett. We wish to assure you that we are also mem...bers of the Australian Funeral Directors Association and proudly uphold their standards. We treat everybody who comes into our care as if they were our own family members. #AFDA #promotingprofessionalfuneralstandards
07.01.2022 Funerals and Photos. They go hand in hand. At a funeral we are reflecting back on the life of a loved one and photos play a key role in bringing back those memories. We use photos in many different ways, including but not limited to: - Using a framed photo on the coffin or on an easel - Using photos on and in an order of service booklet ... - Should you choose, we can also create a slideshow tribute of all your favorite photos But...how organised are your family photos? It can be very stressful at the time of a funeral to organise, locate and chronologically order photos. We recommend keeping your photographs organised so that when the time comes, at least one element of your loved ones funeral will be stress free! This article has some great tips! https://photographylife.com/how-to-organize-pictures
