25.01.2022 . AML3D has utilised its in-house Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) platform to promptly develop an evolved lifting device, with enhanced load-bearing capabilities for Austal. With the design approved, AML3D will now manufacture the first prototype Davit Arm which will undergo rigorous destructive testing. 16.01.2022 BAE Australia’s subsidiary, ASC Shipbuilding, has identified AML3D’s WAM as a technology with the potential to participate in its shipbuilding activities. We will utilise WAM to produce various geometric parts in a range of metal alloys with the objective to meet BAE’s internal standards for additive manufactured components. 09.01.2022 We had the pleasure of hosting Captain Manish Kumar Rai, Indian Defence Advisor and Mr Raju Narayanan at the AML3D manufacturing facility this morning. Andy and Les led the discussion on WAM’s capability for Defence, additive manufacturing’s application in Maritime (supported by our Lloyd’s Register Certification) and finished with a tour of our facility, including our production cells.
