20.01.2022 Tried our crumbed steak roll and loved it?? You might want to try our new chicken ribs . Crumbed in ‘Arizona style’ spices, these little guys are served with a house made ranch sauce and fresh dill. If you’ve never had had a chicken riblet, why not change that at 12pm tomorrow? Serving these alongside our crumbed steak rolls for a limited time

18.01.2022 We are now COVID safe. We have been officially listed, having undergone the proper proceedings to ensure your wellbeing through this. That means we are cleaning even more thoroughly, and encouraging people to be keeping safe distances from each other. So, unfortunately we are putting a pause on everyone coming in at once, and limiting the store to 4 visitors at a time. Just doing our little bit to keep you all safe

17.01.2022 So..... we made a small little mistake and ordered a LOT of almond milk. We got super excited to replace the stuff we had (with a tonne of nasties in it) with this organic, amazing stuff instead, that we failed to realise that because there is no junk in the bottle, it has a lifespan similar to normal milk. As a result, we reckon if you’ve ever wanted to try a dairy replacement option, there’s never been a better time to give it a crack! If you’re a dedicated soy/oat/almond milk user already, come by to try something new and stock up! We would hate to see this awesome stuff go to waste, as we know the impact almonds have on our agriculture, and feel it’s very important not to be flippant with letting these spoil. Tell your friends!!! Thanks legends :)

16.01.2022 We had a small mishap with our egg cartons. That means we have a tonne of amazing 800g free range Kangaroo Valley Eggs without a home! If you bring a carton from home, we can fill it for just 60c an egg! This is definitely a short term offer. We would just hate more than anything for any of these amazing eggs to go to waste. Come on in, buy two or thirty-two, available until they’re sold out :)

11.01.2022 There are many of you that have had the pleasure of walking out with some old bones smoked garlic hot sauce. Honestly it might be my favourite product in the shop. Well, the great minds at @obchillico have put together something even more magical. This smoked ‘chilli-churri’ is everything you love about their sauce, elevated. It’s an absolute flavour bomb, and a must try for any old bones lover. It’s incredibly versatile, and also happens to be vegan and gluten free! It comes in kinda hot and proper hot, come check it out!

09.01.2022 Tomorrow we receive our last delivery from Berry Sourdough. If you love it, get in quick to secure it for the last time. We are very excitedly moving to bread baked in house!! We are so excited that Greg and Joel from Pane Paradiso are using our space to bake fresh Sourdough right here in Port Kembla. Its one thing having the shop smell of delicious sourdough each morning, its another to be immensely proud of how good it tastes, and we can confidently say both! come on in to try it out!

08.01.2022 Wassup fam. We've made a couple changes at the general store as we head into summer, the main one being that we will now be closed on Mondays. In good news, we will now be doing lunches everyday we're open (Tuesday through Saturday) That's right- uncle Amos will be slinging his beef schnitty rolls erry damn day, plus a few more treats to come soon. 06.01.2022 Exquisite Sourdough. We just can’t get over how good this bread is. To go from Port not having any artisanal bread to buy, to having this being baked every morning here on Wentworth street is just incredible. We are selling warm loaves every morning, and delight when we hear people coming back saying it was the best bread they’ve had. It’s super nice and we just want to thank the lads at @pane_paradiso for being so great.

Your old favourite preservative free snags are here- pork & fennel AND lamb merguez, as well as your new favourite beef, cheddar and stout (don't sleep on these, believe us) We've also got some select cuts of @gregorydownsorganics beef in stock- brisket, blade roasts, chuck steak, and the ever versatile beef mince, not to mention everyone's favourite parmesan and oregano meatballs As always packaged in home compostable bags from @groundedpackaging

03.01.2022 We’ve been loving having @churchfarmgeneralstore curry pastes on our shelves for months now, and just received a big shipment of their soaps! These handmade soaps are palm oil free and have no fake stuff, and are filled with the most incredibly smelling Australian ingredients! A must grab next time you’re in the shop :)
